We are delighted to announce that at the Chamber of Commerce Innovation in Business Awards, Wild Thang won the Business of the Year (over 30 employees), It was a truly spectacular night which the team was delighted to attend!
Wild Thang was happy to work with Tony Bellew and support Weapons Down Gloves Up initiative, it is an amazing cause which we are glad we could get behind! We helped out by supplying a dual branded Wild Thang x WDGU Umbro Teamwear kit for Ormskirk West End FC.
Wild Thang is proud to have been a platinum sponsor at the gala dinner to support the John Haynes Foundation! The event went on to raise a whopping £36,913 & took place in the spectacular Hilton City Centre Hotel, it was appropriately themed ‘The Greatest Showman’ as a tribute to John Haynes.
Wild Thang is delighted to say we were category sponsors at the North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards this year and we had a brilliant time. It was a spectacle like no other, people from all over came together in the spectacular Titanic Hotel on the Liverpool waterfront to celebrate the achievements of our LGBTQ+ community in business and commerce.
With summer drawing to an end for one more year it was great for our Wild Thang team who have worked so hard this year to meet up outside of the workplace for our summer social event. The team first met up outside the Liver buildings, It was a picture perfect evening with vibrant blue sky’s and we was taken on an exclusive guided tour to enjoy the spectacular 360° views of the Liverpool skyline from the 15th-floor viewing platform and then made the short walk to the brilliant Ma Boyles for drinks and food as a team.
The Liver building skyline tour was an amazing experience for the whole team, standing at 322 feet tall the view from the 15th-floor viewing platform was nothing short of breathtaking, It really gave the team a chance to relax and take in the world famous Liverpool skyline. Along with the view, we were also given a spectacular immersive Audio-Visual show inside the historic clock tower and learn all about Liverpool’s iconic landmark and some key moments in the cities history.

A favourite part of the tour for everyone was when the team got to see some of the retail merchandise we have produced here at Wild Thang for the Royal Liver Building 360 available on the tour alongside the NHS shirts we also produced in the past. It really was branding in action you don’t get to experience, and it spotlighted to the team where hard work goes.

After the tour we made the short walk across the road to one of the oldest and best pubs in Liverpool, opening in 1870 to this day in 2022 Ma Boyle’s is still setting the standard for great cocktails, local ales, and delicious home-cooked food. Upon arrival, we were taken to a private room in the basement to enjoy some food and drinks as a team.
We know the importance of thanking key member of our team so we took time out at Ma Boyles to celebrate some significant long term Wild Thang work anniversaries.

In true Wild Thang way fashion we were able to give our new starters Callum, Lewis, & Raquel a warm Wild Thang welcome mention at this WT social event.
We also took time out at the event to offer a big thanks from the directors to every single member of our team for their hard work, efforts and commitment so far this year

The experience provided a great chance to bond and have fun together as a team outside the work environment which is a huge part of the modern-day workplace.

Wild Thang are very proud to announce our support towards the iconic site, Strawberry Field.
The tourist attraction is owned by the Salvation Army, which they use the profits from the visitor experience to keep the gates open permanently and to support Steps at Strawberry Field, a set of initiatives for people with disabilities or other employment challenges. Of course, this is such a fantastic cause, and we are very happy that we can help.
STRAWBERRY FIELD
In September 2019, Strawberry Field, the famous location immortalised by John Lennon in the Beatles song "Strawberry Fields Forever," first welcomed visitors via its recognisable red gates.
Through their exhibition, you can learn about the history of the iconic site; including stories from the former children’s home and about how John came to write the famous song. The site now serves a unique addition to Beatles tourism.
The site holds an interactive visitor exhibition, a café, a shop, and quiet garden places for spiritual reflection.
Entry to the cafe, shop and gardens is free. If you would like to purchase tickets to their visitor experience, they can be booked in advance by following the link at the bottom of our page.
THE WORK OF STRAWBERRY FIELD
The site is home to Steps to Work programme for young adults with learning challenges and other hurdles to employment.
All proceeds from the exhibition, café and shop go towards supporting the Steps at Strawberry Field programmes, which cater to those who face obstacles to employment such as learning disabilities. There is more information if you follow the link at the bottom of the page.
WILD THANG SUPPORTS STRAWBERRY FIELD MOUNT TOUBKAL TREK
We are proud to announce that we will be donating branded hoodies for their Mount Toubkal Trek on the 3rd – 7th August 2022 free of charge. Lesley from Strawberry Field came for the full Wild Thang tour and we were able to hear about all the amazing work Strawberry Field do. Lesley had actually been completing her regular training in line for the trek taking place in August that morning, this team means business!
They are aiming to raise £2500 each for the Strawberry Field’s Step to Work Programme.
It costs £10,000 for one trainee to go through the Steps to Work programme; and with all of your support, the fantastic team at Strawberry Field can continue the work they do to help more and more people achieve their dreams of paid employment.
MOUNT TOUBKAL
This once in a lifetime adventure will allow the trekkers to take on the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and summit its highest peak - Mount Toubkal.
All of us at Wild Thang wish the team good luck on their fundraising and the trek they will be completing in August.

At the start of June we kick started our pride month by adapting our logo to the bright pride colours to celebrate diversity, tolerance, awareness and celebration of the positive impact the LGBTQ+ community has on our society!
We have clear internal policies and as part of our Wild Thang Way company mission that promotes and celebrates every area of society, placing equality central to everything we do as a company. This is something signed and agreed on when joining the company.

Although Pride Month is over, the support and celebrations take place throughout the year. This is just a reminder that this year’s Pride in the Liverpool City Region is taking place on Saturday 30th July.

St. Hilda’s Church of England High School is located in Sefton Park in Liverpool, where approximately 40 members of staff participated in fundraising over £10 000 for a fantastic charity called Sunflowers Liverpool. Wild Thang are proud to have been able to give them a special discounted rate, free setups and provide that free design service to support this great initiative.
SUNFLOWERS LIVERPOOL BASED IN DINGLE, LIVERPOOL
1 in 2 of us are affected by cancer in some sort of way, so you can understand why a charity like Sunflowers is so important for our community. The charity is a unique support service to help individuals and families affected by a cancer diagnosis or other life changing illnesses in the Merseyside region. All their services are delivered by a qualified team, specialised and experienced in helping people coping with long-term illness.
TEAM ST. HILDAS IN ACTION EN-ROUTE TO WALES
The staff of St. Hilda’s started their challenge bright and early at 5:45am, where they followed a planned route in small relay teams from the school all the way to Wales, and then to top it off they finished with a celebratory walk up Moel Famau!

Wild Thang are proud to support BTR Road Runners who organise and stage the Medal Muddle 5K events. The event returned in April after an enforced break, which took place on the Wirral in Hoylake.
This year round, the profits from the event on the 23rd of April went towards the Ukrainian Emergency Appeal.
If you did not already know, BTR Road Runners found that there were always surplus t-shirts and medals at the end of races. These would then accumulate and either be thrown out or donated to good causes. Now these surplus items are repurposed, rebranded and then presented to all those that take part in the race.
Not only are the events raising funds for great causes, but also the idea behind the Medal Muddle 5K is truly a great tackle on sustainability and resource management within the race category.

This year marks a special date for the royal family, the nation and especially for Her Majesty the Queen.
Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning British monarch in history and therefore this is the first time that any British monarch has celebrated a Platinum Jubilee. At 96 years old, she is also the oldest monarch in world history. Wild Thang HQ had a special visit from a reporter from BBC Radio Merseyside this week, Henry Liston. He came to talk to Andy and Jade about all ‘thangs’ The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Henry was great fun so we had to lay down the Royal red carpet and give him the full 5 star experience taking him on the exclusive Wild Thang tour and of course, we could not let him leave empty-handed.
We took him behind the scenes with our screen print expert Graham, who printed some Platinum Jubilee t-shirts to take back with him to studio.

We had our own Wild Thang Jubilee celebrations on our rooftop, the sun was shining and it was just a great excuse to get all the team together. A huge thank you to Carrie for organising the activities for the day and our royally approved lunch and drinks.
