It was fantastic to see so many of our team attend the Wild Thang Spring Social at Pins Social Club. It really was a special moment to have no Covid restrictions, it was definitely one of our biggest and best to date. The team brought their A-game to the bowling lanes, but there was only one highest score winner, congratulations Lewis Smith!
We have decided to create a new long service mention and small gift for any team members reaching a special work anniversary of 5 yrs, 10yrs, 15 yrs, 20yrs, 25yrs……
This will be mentioned at each staff social event if someone has reached one of those special work anniversaries. We really did strike it lucky when they joined Wild Thang and since the beginning of the year the following people reached significant work anniversaries.
20 years at Wild Thang! Leigh and Graham
15 years at Wild Thang! Stacey
10 years at Wild Thang! Nikki and Darren
We were able to give our new starters Claire, Jade, Jordan, Lewis H, Lewis S, Steven and Simon a warm Wild Thang welcome mention at this WT social event. We also of course took time out at the event to offer a big thanks from the Directors to every single member of our team for their hard work, efforts and commitment so far this year, It really is the Wild Thang Way.
Finally a big thanks to Pins Social Club and their staff, it is an awesome venue that we highly recommend. If you would like more info about Pins or Wild Thang simply click on the link.
Wild Thang's heart goes out to all those affected by what is happening in Ukraine at the moment.
We believe everyone should do what they can to help, big or small. This is why, as a team we are proud to have sponsored and supplied the T-shirts for our friends Batala Mersey who have Drummed for Ukraine, raising over £5K to support the Ukrainian people, which is simply fantastic. Batala Mersey is an upbeat and energetic community drumming group bringing the rhythms of Afro-Brazilian samba!

We have also supported Sharon and her friends by sponsoring their hoodies for their 21 mile walk that happened this month raising a whopping £2287 for the refugees fleeing the country, and for those left behind. The Just Giving page is still live, see link below to donate.

Wild Thangs senior team took part in the Ambassador of Hope plus training with Chasing the Stigma who are a national mental health charity that is committed to normalising mental health. We know the importance of raising awareness around mental health and wellbeing so our senior team is now better equipped and more confident than ever to support our wider team in the best possible way.
AMBASSADOR OF HOPE + TRAINING CERTIFICATE
Wild Thang managing director Andrew Dwerryhouse commented: “We know over he last few years it has been super tough for our team and their families dealing with all the pandemic challenges, but we also know that everyone will be touched by mental health concerns in their lifetime at some point. I have personally been through some very low times and seen first-hand how difficult it can be dealing with these issues both in business and personally.
RACHEL COOGAN CHASING THE STIGMA LEFT DEANNE WALSH AMBASSADOR OF HOPE TRAINER RIGHT
So we decided as a company that there was never a better time to embrace and to try our best to normalise the mental health conversations within Wild Thang. It’s great to be able to support a charity that is doing some amazing work in this area but just as importantly to get the in-depth training that would make a positive impact for the long term.
CHASING THE STIGMA PROMOTIONL MATERIAL AND POSTERS
I have met the founder of the charity Jake Mills and his story is an inspiration, it really gives hope to anyone suffering from mental health issues that there is always light at the end of the tunnel no matter how low someone maybe feeling. Always remember there are people that can help and support you which can be signposted through the fantastic Hub of Hope database.
DEANNE WALSH TRAINER & WILD THANG SENIOR TEAM WHO PARTICPATED IN THE TRAINING
We are really proud of how our senior team embraced the training in an open and honest way, talking about their own personal or families challenges. The Ambassador of Hope training plus we received from Chasing the Stigma was fantastic, big thanks to the trainer who delivered really insightful and in-depth helpful advice that really has given us the tools to be better equipped to support not only our wider team but also family and friends from a mental health and wellbeing perspective It really is the Wild Thang Way.”

Wild Thang's Team Getting Into The Christmas Spirit On The Last Day
Christmas is the time when we can all make a difference which is why this year our festive themed Christmas jumper day we raised money for the John Haynes Foundation which is very closeto Wild Thangs heart, with our team having known John before his passing both personally and professionally.
Wild Thang's Christmas Jumper Day Raising Funds For The John Haynes Foundation
The foundation itself is focused on delivering professional coaching and mentoring, helping individuals build resilience so they can realise their own potential and ‘Fly With The Eagles’. Our cake sale, raffle and best Chrimbo jumper competition raised a total of £400 so we’d like to thank our generous staff for contributing and helping make these donations possible, you’re the best.

Hopefully you can see we take our CSR seriously as a company and its our Wild Thang way ethos that means we will always try and make a difference in society and our community.

We are in the business of providing world class branded clothing and print, we also place our CSR responsibilities central to our company and teams culture that’s why this year the gifts we will be sending to our own clients will be very much focused on sustainability with a message wishing everyone a merry sustainable Christmas. We want you to know a big part of our company vision for the next 10 years will be focused on sustainability and as one of the key components we will be aiming to be carbon neutral by 2030.
This year the products we will be sending to our own amazing clients will be focused on sustainability and reusability encouraging everyone who receives a gift to Use IT, Reuse IT, and then Recycle IT. See below a small description and link to each of the products we are producing in a variety of thank you gift packs so they can be assured all the products come from a sustainable source or have some sort of eco credentials:
Bamboo Wireless Phone Charger & Stand
No plastic packaging used for this item, all recyclable packaging, made from eco-friendly sustainable natural bamboo great product reusability and longevity.
Packed in a biodegradable pouch containing organic soil seed coins, we know the more seeds we plant, the more carbon dioxide will be absorbed. Made in the UK to minimise carbon footprint.
We then want our clients to recycle every product they receive from Wild Thang, even better if you deconstruct and separate the different materials into recyclable, biodegradable and non-recyclable waste. Wild Thang are still an SME and know this will be a step by step process, but if we can inspire others to do the same as we know many small changes by many people can make a world changing difference!
One Of The Wild Thang Eco Gift Packs.
Here is an image one of the eco orientated gift boxes we will be sending to our fantastic clients, a reminder to have yourself a Merry Sustainable Christmas but also our one world class service solution meaning we can handle the whole process from design, manufacture, packaging, fulfilment and distribution direct to your clients or employees. If you have a requirement for any kind of gift or promotional pack simply get in touch. Get In Touch
Just so you know we will be avoiding all single plastic use and throwaway products so we have created a sustainability message and made sure it’s located on each product we have gifted to our clients as a reminder so when it says on the product Use Me Reuse Me Recycle Me we want you to make sure you keep this product as long as possible or even a lifetime so even when it starts to look a little worn out or scruffy, please keep a little while longer or re-purpose until completely kaput.
In the future as we continue to grow as a company we plan to make sure all the amazing branded clothing merchandise and print we produce are coming from sustainable sources, this will be formally announced in January 2022 along with some more great initiatives all related to future sustainability.
Tis The Season To Be Jolly Sustainable, Best wishes, Team Wild Thang.

Our last print job of last week was one we wished we didn’t need to do, but we are still proud to have made a donation of T-shirt’s to No More Knives initiative for the Ava White vigil, which took place in Liverpool over last weekend.
Banner created by football fans to support the campaign at the Liverpool Derby.
Ava senselessly lost her life during the Christmas light switch on, we are committed as a team and company to raising awareness and supporting this type of initiative as this needs to stop now. Our whole teams thoughts are prayers are with Ava’s family and friends & the only way we can end this cowardly behaviour is together as a community.
The T-shirts Wild Thang provided for the Ava White vigil.
Seeing so many attend the vigil for Ava gives hope that we can all make a difference in promoting the simple No More Knives In Our City message.

Wild Thang are incredibly proud to have supported and sponsored this incredible event by providing all design and branded marketing collateral required for the John Haynes foundation and gala dinner. The John Haynes Tribute dinner and legacy foundation launch took place at the Liverpool Hilton Hotel on the 18th of September.
The Gala Dinner dressed to impress at the Liverpool Hilton Hotel.
Hosted by Roger Jonas with speeches by Everton FC CEO. Denise Barrett Baxendale and Liverpool Metro Mayor Steven Rotheram, with a special menu created by Paul Askew and the Hilton team. The evening raised over £30,000 which will see funds officially establish the foundation for the longer term and develop the programs that will help others to be the best versions of themselves and truly ‘Fly With The Eagles’.
The late great John Haynes who helped so many 'Fly With The Eagles'.
It was a truly spectacular night and very special moment for the Wild Thang team to celebrate the life of a friend and master mentor coach John Haynes but also maybe more importantly his legacy. Before his passing for nearly a decade John had become an integral part of our company family helping Wild Thang and all our employees better themselves on a personal and professional level.
The host with the most Roger Jonas.
Andrew Dwerryhouse Wild Thang MD commented: “John Haynes was a true mentor and friend to both me and the rest of the Wild Thang team for many years and made a huge difference in the team and companies culture. John was a very special individual and wanted to make a difference in the lives of whoever he met. Whatever the subject or session about leadership or resilience you would come out it feeling 100% more positive and wanting to take on the world.
John Haynes partner Linda Adkins who gave her support and blessing for the foundation to be formed.
This is why it felt so important and right to help and support both the formation of the John Haynes Foundation by becoming a trustee, but in a wider way by making sure Wild Thang as a company supported the foundation from a branding and marketing perspective, our team of directors felt this was only right to give back a little piece of what John has given us. From the outset we offered Wild Thangs support to provide all the collateral for the foundation and gala dinner which we are proud of delivering.
All the event collateral and merchandise was lovingly designed and printed by Wild Thang.
At each stage we gained approval throughout the design process from John’s partner Linda, the family and the rest of the trustees, we think we have achieved something genuinely world class from design to production, hopefully the photographs of the evening tell the story of a spectacular and successful night that surpassed everyone’s expectations.
All the event collateral and merchandise was lovingly designed and printed by Wild Thang.
A huge thank you from Linda and family, patrons and trustees to everyone who attended, donated and supported the John Haynes Foundation launch, you truly are all eagles. John is gone but never forgotten, his legacy will live on with its aim of inspiring and helping 1 million people to have the resilience and belief to ‘Fly With The Eagles’.

Wild Thang are proud of supporting the first ever Football For Change Gala which took place on Saturday 13th November 2021 at The Titanic Hotel Liverpool with over 450 in attendance, the evening was a huge success raising more than £250,000 for the new foundation.
Iconic music legend Sir Rod Stewart, Jamie Carragher, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Russell Howard on stage.
Hosted by Westlife star Nicky Byrne with sensational performances from Pixie Lott and M People's Heather Small, while the truly iconic music legend Sir Rod Stewart, Jamie Carragher, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Russell Howard entertained the audience with on stage questions and answers. This is another incredible feel good factor moment for the team to support the inaugural Football For Change Foundations gala dinner. We are proud to have produced the foundations branded merchandise, gala programs and photo backdrop and it’s not every day that your logo gets snapped along rock star royalty Rod Stewart.

Also supported by lots of professional footballers, we know it was much more than just a photo opportunity and when we heard that the dinner had raised £250,000 we knew that the foundation was well on its way to making a difference in a lot of younger people’s lives which is the exact reason we got involved in the first place.

Like many companies across the UK when the pandemic struck as a business we were hit hard so it was fantastic to see this type of event returning and being in a position to support.

Wild Thang as a company are 100% committed to a sustainable future and proud to have supported the very talented artist Robyn Woolston whose art is focused on environmental impact issues. Robyn’s exhibition during Cop 26 has taken place between 31st Oct - 12th Nov in Glasgow on the ground floor of the Pipe Factory, in a space built by William White and Sons in 1877, as a clay smoking pipe factory.
Main photo featured in blog peice is ‘Last (Chance)’ 2021 @ The Pipe Factory, Glasgow // Images artists own.

Andrew Dwerryhouse Commented: “We have followed Robyn Woolston for many years and know her passion to help the future of the planets environment through her world class artwork and we knew we had to support. Wild Thang are aligned and committed to create a sustainable future as a company and prior to Cop 26 started the process of making our own internal future sustainability promise.
We are an organisation that wants to be part of the solution rather than the problem. We already hold ISO 14001 certification and have clear policies and some great examples of changes we have already made such as electric car charging point, recycling all cardboard and paper waste, plus a range of other initiatives.
Charging point being installed at Wild Thang HQ.
Our eco range has never been bigger but we want to go much further and we know the time to act is now, so when this opportunity came up to support Robyn it seemed the perfect fit. Part of the support included creating a brief statement about what the commitment will be from Wild Thang.
The Artist Robyn Woolston.
As part of the statement we shared with Robyn we described how we have just created our company vision for the next 10 years, with sustainability as one of the key components for that vision so as a company we will be aiming to be carbon neutral by 2030 and to make sure all the amazing branded clothing merchandise and print we produce are coming from sustainable sources, this will be formally announced in January 2022.
Art can have real impact and influence, Robyn put it more eloquently when she said “Art provides a powerful tool in terms of consciousness-raising, agitating, re-framing and addressing both the impact and output of human behavior”. There is no better named location than the smoking pipe factory if you’re talking about environmental impact. We are still an SME and know this will be a step by step process, but if we can inspire others to do the same, and we hope Cop 26 will be a defining moment in helping the planet have a more sustainable future because action is urgently needed, we know many small changes by many people can make a world changing difference!”
