CHICS – Childrens Cancer Support Group formed in 1986 and is based in the North West of the UK and provides support and information for parents of children with cancer in the following means: Meetings, Social Functions, Newsletters and Fund raising.

Our very own merchandise in action was on show on Sunday 10th February on and off the pitch with our pop up shop at the AJ Bell Stadium for the first in a series of games we will be attending throughout the season which will extend our 24/7 web shop solution to the fans on match day. It was certainly a cold and breezy one with that wind whipping in from the Manchester Ship Canal! It was great to meet so many fans who loved the merchandise with the big sellers on the day being the new Kappa 2019 home and away replica shirts, the Kappa player polo and the retro bobble hat, but top sales item on the day was the new Red Devils fan scarf, knitted to a high definition quality and an absolute must to keep that chill off you.

The lads on the pitch certainly went hard & did their best to keep the fans warm making it 2 W’s from 2 games and currently sitting top of Super League after a 24-0 victory over London Broncos. Thornton’s broke the World Record for the world’s largest box of chocolates which was unveiled to the public in London’s Leicester Square in April 2010.

The giant box was created to celebrate the launch of Thorntons ‘Moments’, the Chocolatier’s new twist-wrapped chocolates, measuring 5.04 metres (16.5 feet) tall and 3.5 metres (11.5 feet) wide, total box weight was 4,805lbs - that's over 2 tonnes!
