Wild Thang team not victorious this time around at the Echo Environment Awards which took place on Thursday 26th April 2018 .

Andrew Dwerryhouse commented: “Win or lose we are winners because we place CSR central to all that we do as a company, we feel incredibly proudand it was a great evening all round. It is fantastic to be recognised as a finalist for The Corporate Social Responsibility category especially when the other nominees were much larger organisations. Congrats to our friends over at Peel Ports on winning the CSR award, definitely no hard feelings and we should all keep on doing more of the same. On the evening itself we were joined by a number of our younger apprentices from Wild Thang which we hope highlights our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, taking into account our economic, social and environmental impact in the way we operate as a business. We have aligned our business values, purpose and strategy embedding responsible and ethical principles into everything we do, while working in partnership together with our colleagues, clients, suppliers and our local community, this is testament to all the staff at Wild Thang and the type of culture we are trying to develop”

We will be back next year hopefully with an even stronger application.

Proud of the whole Wild Thang team !
Proud of the whole Wild Thang team !

So proud of the whole Wild Thang team on receiving their personal & professional development certificates from John Haynes & the International Coaching Academy yesterday.

After 12 Months of commitment from the staff this is a special moment, as we know how much this type of training takes you out of your comfort zone, challenging every individual to commit to gain both knowledge and inspiration so they can realise their own potential as individuals. This was a substantial investment for Wild Thang but we believe wholeheartedly in investing in our most important asset which is our staff.

A big personal thank you to the inspirational John Haynes for his commitment over the past 12 Months to get the very best from all the Wild Thang staff at every level & helping the company move forward to realise its potential as a World Class Company.

We will continue to work with the Academy so this is not the end of the journey but just the beginning because you never stop learning & it genuinely is the Wild Thang Way !

We could not recommend John Haynes and the International Coaching Academy enough, why not check them out on https://www.internationalcoachingacademy.org/ @ICA_business

Wild Thang continue to support the Mayoral 100 club initiative
Wild Thang continue to support the Mayoral 100 club initiative

The Mayoral 100 club is a unique initiative that gives members access to an extensive range of benefits and experiences including the opportunity to be drawn as a headline sponsor while supporting financially the culture within the Liverpool City region & The International Mersey River Festival which is a celebration of Liverpool's wonderful and historic waterfront, a completely free public extravaganza of family fun, amazing music and entertainment along the iconic River Mersey.

Andrew Dwerryhouse, Wild Thang MD commented : “Wild Thang are incredibly proud to be a founding member & have committed to continue supporting the 100 club initiative which helps fund the International Mersey River Festival event. We know is so important to the regional economy & also to the cultural offer within the region which is now becoming a vitally important driver to the regions visitor economy. With 2018 being such a special year for the city as the 10th anniversary since Capital Of Culture it really is going to be a special year. With the likes of Home Bargains, Peel Ports, Laing O'Rourke and Bibby Line involved as an SME we feel genuinely proud & excited to be part of this amazing initiative. As a previous headline sponsor winner we know first-hand how the 100 Club has given Wild Thang the opportunity to raise our profile significantly within the region and even nationally while still supporting the International Mersey River Festival which is a free 3 day public event showing our very own commitment to corporate social values”.

Wild Thang proud to do our little bit for the homeless
Wild Thang proud to do our little bit for the homeless

Andrew Dwerryhouse MD at Wild Thang commented: “It was a good feeling for the whole of the Wild Thang team to handover our staffs very kind Christmas jumper day donations of £200 to the Whitechapel Centre Homeless Charity that took place in December.

This led us on to think how else we could help, knowing this is the most challenging time of year for vulnerable homeless people having to deal with freezing temperatures, we proudly made the decision to donate a sizable amount of stock clothing such as jackets, hoodies and hats to the Whitechapel Centre and also to a temporary crisis center at Kingsway House which had recently been setup by @SignatureLiving. I have had the privilege personally to meet those individuals it’s helping & it was great to see the crisis shelter in action, it is genuinely giving people the emergency food and shelter they require with maybe just a little glimmer of hope & opportunity for the individuals that find themselves at the lowest ebb in their lives”.

We are sure every little counts, great to support a local leading #homeless and #housing #charity who do amazing work around the city, check them out on www.whitechapelcentre.co.uk

Also check out the temporary Signature Shelter at Kingsway House which could become a genuine community with a joined up pathway to give these people hope and opportunities for the future. The Shelter is self-funded and is led with an entrepreneurial spirit of trying to do something uniquely different to find the right answer or solution to a problem that simply is not being solved at every level.

Wildthang support Culture Liverpool
Wildthang support Culture Liverpool

Wild Thang are proud to be Culture Liverpool’s official uniform branding partner.

In 2008 Liverpool was named European Capital of Culture, since then they have never been far from the spotlight. Over the last five years Culture Liverpool, Liverpool City Council’s cultural service, has continued to build on its world class reputation, using culture as the driving force for the regeneration of the whole city.

Andrew Dwerryhouse MD at Wild Thang commented “We have been involved in some way or form in virtually every major cultural event over the past 10 + years, Wild Thang have seen first hand the importance of cultural activity in our region that is helping grow our local visitor economy creating both employment and investment. We are proud that we have partnered with the Liverpool Culture Team to supply a quality uniform for their team that will keep them comfortable, protected and visible over the next year at all major events. Did you know the vast majority of these major cultural events are free to the public and need the support of the private sector to fill the funding gaps to ensure they continue to happen, so that’s why we are so proud that this forms an important part of our very own Corporate Social Responsibility”

Sue Finnegan commented Head of Commercial & Marketing at Culture Liverpool “We have worked with Andrew and his team at Wild Thang for over 15 years due to their passion for the City, their dedication to delivering first class customer care and quality products. The team are never afraid to say ‘I don’t think that will work’ and come up with fantastic ideas delivering the maximum ROI for clients such as ourselves and we absolutely see them as an extension to our team – the team behind the city’s 2008 European Capital of Culture celebrations. Choosing a supplier to partner with for the team’s kit was a no brainer and to work with a Liverpool home grown company makes it all the more satisfying.”
