Wild Thang is delighted to say we were category sponsors at the North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards this year and we had a brilliant time. It was a spectacle like no other, people from all over came together in the spectacular Titanic Hotel on the Liverpool waterfront to celebrate the achievements of our LGBTQ+ community in business and commerce.
We were incredibly proud to show are true commitment to the LGBTQ+ community by sponsoring North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards, it was the perfect platform to celebrate diversity and as a company we place equality central to everything we do at Wild Thang.

A massive congratulations to the winners last night who were fully deserving of their awards after a brilliant 12 months of hard work success and growth. We would also like to give our commiserations to the businesses which just fell short of the prize but there is no reason to hang your head as the nomination in itself is a brilliant achievement and a great sign of business success.
The whole Wild thang team would like to extend a huge congratulations to our category award winners The Dolphin Health Club , who had a magnificent year and fully deserved to win the best customer service award. It was an honour to sponsor the award and we are glad we had the opportunity to show our support to the LGBTQ+ community in business in the Northwest.

We would also like to say thank you to Katie Kendrick Isaacson of Cool Breeze Events who hosted an amazing night of awards, food, drink and fun. The members of Wild Thang who managed to make it to the event were delighted with the table and we all had a brilliant night.
Another huge bonus was that we had the opportunity to meet so many great people, hear about their amazing businesses and get across the Wild Thang brand to the people who attended. We are devastated to say we heard the news over the past weekend which rocked the Liverpool business community, less than 24 hours after the LGBTQ+ business awards Drew Cockton has passed away. Drew was more than just a brilliant entrepreneur who was immensely successful in the business world, he was known as a kind, funny and lovable man who had an impact on everyone he met, his loss will be felt not just in the north west region but in the connections he made across the world. Drew was responsible for creating the North West LGBTQ+ business awards and we hope it can continue for a long time in his memory.

Our MD at Wild Thang Andrew Dwerryhouse commented: “We are still in shock and processing this incredibly sad news of Drew’s passing, he was a fantastic engaging and incredibly warm individual and the awards he created to celebrate the amazing LGBTQ+ business community where ground breaking, the awards evening on Friday was a huge success & I know he simply wanted to make a positive difference in the LGBTQ+ community. Hopefully his legacy will live on through future LGBTQ+ Awards & the whole Wild Thang team send their thoughts and prayers are will Drew’s partner, family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
