Proud to announce that Wild Thang’s  chosen charity for the year ahead will be CHICS - Childrens Cancer Support Group!

Andrew Dwerryhouse MD commented “To create a little engagement we decided to ask all staff for their nominations & outcome from the votes was the amazing charity CHICS.

What made this an even more special choice was that a few staff members have already been touched by the amazing & positive services CHICS provide. Always nice to hear firsthand the difference a charity is making to people’s lives & Wild Thang are looking forward to supporting and raising funds in the year ahead.”

Wild Thang proud to donate warm clothing to the homeless as temperatures fall.

Andrew Dwerryhouse, MD at Wild Thang commented: “Wild Thang are proud to have made this donation and are sure every little counts, It’s this time of year that our thoughts turn to those most in need when the weather takes a turn for the worse for vulnerable homeless people, especially when having to deal with freezing temperatures. That’s exactly why we donated a sizable amount of clothing including jackets, hoodies and hats to the Cotton Street Homeless Project and Whitechapel Homeless Centre which will hopefully keep a number of people safe and warm this winter. As part of the companies charitable fundraising the staff Christmas Jumper day held prior to the festive break raised over £200 which will be split between these two great organisations. We encourage others to get involved as the more people/companies/organisations involved in trying to make an impact the better the outcome will be, which is ultimately all focused on trying to eradicate homelessness in the Liverpool City Region for good.”

Wild Thang proud to complete the big Vimto 110KM charity cycle in seriously mixed up weather ☺
Wild Thang proud to complete the big Vimto 110KM charity cycle in seriously mixed up weather ☺

Wild Thang’s Andrew Dwerryhouse participated in The Big Vimto 110KM Charity Cycle which took place on Sunday 16th September, celebrating Vimto’s 110th year anniversary while helping to raise funds of an incredible £110,000 for Warrington Youth Centre.

Andrew Dwerryhouse commented “I am personally very proud to have completed the 110km in seriously mixed up weather, heavy rain, strong winds and sunshine all featured & it was an incredibly tough challenge, but knowing all the money raised is going to such a good cause kept all the riders motivated along the route. Vimto’s chosen charity, Warrington Youth Centre, is a fantastic organisation that does many wonderful things in the community with a motto 'Inspiring young people to achieve'. They exist to support young people’s development, offering opportunities to gain, increase and develop skills, knowledge, self-awareness and confidence, and enabling them to make positive and healthy life choices.

The Vimto family put on an incredibly well organized fun event, giving a very warm welcome to all participants, with all finishers of both the 55KM and 110KM routes being  treated to first class hospitality along with lots of Vimto goodies.”
