A message from the senior management to our amazing team. “We know the past 6-7 Months have been challenging on so many levels and this will have had an impact on everyone’s physical and mental well-being at some point over that time. We want to personally thank you all for showing such resilience over the past months to help us overcome some of those challenges and the extra time, energy and efforts some individuals have freely given.

To all those who have gone out of their way to make sure even in these challenging times we are still delivering the ultimate service and products to our clients which gives us the best possible chance of surviving and thriving as an organisation. We know there are still many challenges relating to Covid 19 and its impact but we thought it was important to take a moment as a company and as a team to reflect on the positives that are happening even in the face of the virus and its impact on the company. We have been continuing to complete some work to the very highest of world class standards, adapt and innovate and are now closer than ever to completing the building development to finally create the best possible workplace environment for all our employees after 4 difficult years of planning.

We hope you enjoyed the little breakfast treat and please find enclosed a personalised Wild Thang water bottle for each member of the team as a reminder to stay hydrated, stay healthy and hopefully also avoid any cross contamination. It’s good to talk and we want to talk about any concerns, there is also help and links available on the NHS website. Let’s remember to keep a positive outlook, work as a team and together we will beat this virus thang so we can survive, thrive and create a better future for every employee.”

Wild Thang are incredibly proud to be the official merchandise partner as the Salford Red Devils lose out by the narrowest of margins in the Challenge Cup Final !

The Red Devils lost out on their first Wembley appearance since 1969, losing 17-16 to Leeds Rhino’s in a thrilling Challenge Cup Final. Even with this disappointing result Wild Thang are still incredibly proud of the club and honoured to be their merchandise partner, along with Kappa Team Wear supplying the highest quality kit.

To reach the Challenge Cup final for the first time in 51 years It was a heartbreaking loss for the coach, staff, players and fans on this occasion but they should take great pride in how they competed in the final at the very highest level, a final that will be talked about for many years to come as a classic.

John Howarth, Wild Thang Director commented “Even with this disappointing result this is still a huge moment for the club, getting to the final and performing so valiantly in the way they did. Wild Thang are incredibly proud to be their official merchandise and branding partner along with Kappa. It’s been a year of survival as a business for Wild Thang like many others so this is a massive moment for the company and our own team.

Our brand on BBC1, watched by 1.6 million viewers are the wow moments we work so hard for and that will help us survive and thrive in these incredibly challenging times. We have had to react quickly to create the Challenge Cup Final range straight after the Red Devils got into the final with it only being a short window of opportunity to produce and deliver the merchandise range, we have had amazing feedback from both the fans and club.”

Salford Red Devils manager Ian Watson said: “It shows the club and the team are moving in the right direction from where we have been and we’re competing in these big games now. With everything that’s happened, to come here and end up being in a 17-16 result, players and staff being absolutely devastated that we’ve not been able to win, shows a sign of how far we’ve come as a group and as a team over the last few years.”

Wild Thang Creates A Little Bit Of History!
Wild Thang Creates A Little Bit Of History!

Wild Thang are incredibly proud as our NHS campaign T-shirts are featured in a new display at the Museum of Liverpool to document the impact Covid-19 has had on our communities and City.

Andrew Dwerryhouse commented: “As for many companies across the UK it continues to be a challenging time for Wild Thang as a business because of the effects of Corona Virus and the lockdown, so when this came completely out of the blue it was a real team morale booster & has filled Wild Thang with such pride.

Our team's efforts to make a difference by producing our branded campaign t-shirts to raise funds and awareness to highlight the efforts the NHS were making and the importance of social distancing, has been recognised.

It’s a real honour to know we have made our very own little piece of history that will be documented in the museum archives for decades and even centuries to come, made in Liverpool, and displayed in the Museum of Liverpool. It was a real treat to be shown the Covid curation in person by the curator of this display Kay Jones at Museum of Liverpool.

When we viewed the display in person we even spotted some printed cotton tote bags we had produced for those volunteer faces shield manufacturing heroes Merseyside PPE Hub who were also included in the curation.

Photo: Merseyside PPE Hub where also involved in the display which involved a printed tote bag we had produced for them.

If any good has come out of this incredibly difficult time it is the way our communities have pulled together and really recognised all the hard work and sacrifices the NHS workers have made to make sure as many people affected by the virus could have the best possible life saving care. It has never been more apparent to Wild Thang as a company that we can all make a difference.

Team Wild Thang

Huge thank you to everyone who has made sure those NHS heroes Never Walked Alone!
Huge thank you to everyone who has made sure those NHS heroes Never Walked Alone!

Together we have all made a difference & while it has been an incredibly tough time for Wild Thang as a company, as it has been for many others companies, we simply wanted to make a difference as an organisation and team to do whatever we could to make sure those NHS Heroes and Key workers really know they Will Never Walk Alone!

With your help & as a team, we are incredibly proud that we have been able to make donations and deliveries to Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Clatterbridge Cancer Hospital, The Liverpool Royal Hospital, Alder Hey Hospital and Aintree Hospital. Over the past weeks we have been working with a skeleton team but we still found the time as a team to make a difference.

Our final week 3-4 report on the impact showed we never quite made that 500th T-shirt sale but we got pretty damn close with 487, thank you all again!

But it’s time to bring this project to a close as we now hopefully start getting back to some sort of normality now lock down is being eased.

It’s been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but we have got to say the thing we are most proud of is the photo’s & videos you have shared. We have loved loved loved this more than anything else & there have been 10,000’s of shares and views across social media.

It was amazing to get Johnny Vegas and Simon Rimmer’s support also, they are genuinely nice guys but the real impact has been made by real people showing their support for the community, the NHS and especially those NHS Heroes!

Our feel good factor continues with the Museum of Liverpool purchasing some of the t-shirts to include in a curation about the impact of Covid-19 on the community.

So watch this space, they are also looking for other people’s stories - see link with contact details so you can get involved.

We will continue to support those NHS Heroes where we can as individuals and as a company because together we really all do make a difference and its ‘The Wild Thang Way’.

100% back open for business but 100% making sure we are a Covid secure workplace!
100% back open for business but 100% making sure we are a Covid secure workplace!

Wild Thang have been 100% open for business throughout the corona virus outbreak working remotely & working hard throughout that time for our clients. Like many businesses in the UK it’s a worrying time, our sales have understandably slowed, but we are now starting to create a little momentum with the easing of the lockdown rules.

Taking it step by step, we are open across all areas of the business including manufacturing & starting to reintroduce some of our amazing team.

It’s critically important that our employees, clients and suppliers know we are a Covid Secure Workplace so we are taking many extra precautions which include:

• Several hygiene stations fitted in the offices and production warehouse.

• A one way system through the building.

• Signage throughout the premises.

• Face covering snoods and personal hand sanitisers for all staff.

• Hand wash, Hand gels and wipes in rest areas.

• Extra contract cleaning in all areas.

• Split lunch & rest breaks to minimise numbers in rest areas.

All done to ensure that our amazing team’s health and safety is at the forefront of our minds. Wild Thang cannot wait to be back up to full strength and doing what we do best for our clients & partners.

We hope business increases over the coming weeks & months so we can bring more of our team back and get this show fully back on the road!

Further ISO success for Wild Thang
Further ISO success for Wild Thang

Even though we have been working remotely because of corona virus, that was never going to stop Wild Thang from making improvements, even in incredibly challenging circumstances. We are incredibly proud as a team to announce the award of ISO 27001, which now creates a trio of ISO standard certifications at Wild Thang.

Andrew Dwerryhouse, Managing Director, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to announce our ISO27001 certification, especially given the challenges that Covid-19 is creating for companies and organisations across the UK, it shows we are still 100% open for business.

Many thanks to Carrie Dwerryhouse who has worked incredibly hard along with the rest of the team over the past months to get this certification in place. It’s another important piece of our certification jigsaw and now makes a trio of ISO standard successes for Wild Thang, which also include ISO9001 and ISO14001.

Add those to the highest possible industry certification of BPMA charter standard, Sedex and Promota, we are certain that we are one of the most qualified and certified companies in our industry across the whole of the UK and likely to be the only company in the Liverpool City Region that can offer such world class standards.

Wild Thang may be well known for branded clothing and print but there is so much more to us than meets the eye. All of those products require us to create amazing innovative packaging and distribute them to locations all over the world.

We have always had the strictest governance and policy in place when it came to handling confidential data but now having the ISO27001 certification offers our clients complete peace of mind. This proves we have the ability to protect all corporate information and data, manage threats and demonstrates that we have the systems in place to protect corporate information and data of any size, whether this is online or offline. We can manage data at any level and for any size of distribution or mailing projects, our clients will have complete confidence that their data is 100% safe, secure and confidential.

We will never stop taking the next steps to making improvement in every area of the business because..........’It’s the Wild Thang way’.

Thank you everyone who has helped make sure those NHS heroes know they will never walk alone !
Thank you everyone who has helped make sure those NHS heroes know they will never walk alone !

What a fantastic week one!

Big thank you to everyone who has made sure those NHS Heroes Know They Will Never Walk Alone by purchasing a t-shirt this past week.

The first orders for our t-shirts have been delivered over the past week and we have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback.

Lots of people have been posting photo’s which has got us all a bit emotional at Wild Thang & really makes us feel our efforts are worthwhile & are making a difference. More amazing images to follow and thank you so much to everyone who is supporting and letting those NHS Heroes know they Will Never Walk Alone #NHSwillneverwalkalone

Our first order to be dispatched as a very special delivery was of course heading to 99-year-old Captain Tom Moore, who has captured the nation’s hearts with his fundraising for the NHS.

We have had orders from around the UK but also got our first international order which is heading over to Sweden. Happy to report that positive momentum seems to be building, having sold just under over 200 t-shirt’s in the first 7 days which is a great start.

Hopefully this is just the start so it’s critical for everyone to continue spreading the word that our NHS Heroes will never walk alone.

Remember Wild Thang wanted to make a difference to help let them heroes know they will never walk alone whilst also promoting social distancing.

For every t-shirt purchased we will donate 50% to NHS Charities Charity No 1186569 OR a t-shirt to an NHS hero in their fight against the virus.

Like many businesses in the UK it’s a worrying time, our sales have understandably slowed down considerably since lockdown so initiatives like this even in a small way will also help Wild Thang to reintroduce staff when the UK starts to return to normality, we cannot wait to be back up to full strength and doing what we do best, which as a company is to try and make a difference to those around us, it’s part of our ethos, and as we say -

‘It’s the Wild Thang Way!’

Wild Thangs t-shirt range lets our NHS heroes know they will never walk alone in the fight against Covid-19!!
Wild Thangs t-shirt range lets our NHS heroes know they will never walk alone in the fight against Covid-19!!

Wild Thang wanted to make a difference, so for each t-shirt purchased we have committed to donate 50% of the purchase price to NHS charities Charity No 1186569 , or send a t-shirt to NHS staff on the front line of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initial idea for the NHS themed t-shirts came about after we created social distancing t-shirts as our last job before lockdown for our amazing team before some started working remotely.

The feedback from our friends and family was awesome and they loved the design, but still we wanted to do more, so we donated 28 sacks of garments for NHS workers over at Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral, we then also printed some cotton shopper bags for amazing Liverpool Women’s Hospital staff, all linked to helping in the fight against corona virus.

This got the team thinking, how else can we make a difference? We came up with the idea to produce a range of t-shirts so those NHS heroes really know they will never walk alone, and we can continue to raise awareness/make a difference in the fight against Covid-19, one t-shirt at a time!

Our creative team developed some awesome designs, we asked the public to vote for their favorites and they are now available in all their glory on the Wild Thang shop!

Please remember, if you do make a purchase you will not only be helping the NHS, you will also be helping Wild Thang in a small way to reintroduce staff as the UK starts to return to normality.
