as the Beatles once sang “the love you take should be equal to the love you make“ !

Wild Thang are proud to have produced & sponsored the t-shirts in partnership with one of our amazing clients - Hat Scarf Or A Badge - to support 'An Hour For Others Charity' which raised around £14k in the process.

They are a charity with a big heart  and believe Together We Are Strong and are doing great things in the community & promoting that every single one of us is part of the community and has a responsibility in making it the best it can be.

Many of us also have a particular skill or talent that can help improve somebody else's life. Kindness, compassion, respect and belief costs nothing.  As busy as life is we can all find some time each week or month to help build our community and inspire others to get involved.  The smallest compliment and act of kindness can transform somebody's world. A community should always support it's most vulnerable and work together to help it thrive.

Talking of big hearts, it was great to see Jamie Carragher and his foundation - The Jamie Carragher 23 Foundation - getting behind and supporting this fantastic event. I know a lot of people gave up their time to participate and support which is what it was all about with a great finale at Anfield venue Taggy's Bar, the venue created a real positive post party atmosphere.

After the difficult year everyone has had due to Covid its fantastic to see there is still real appetite to make a difference, this is an example of some awesome businesses and people making a difference, as the Beatles once sang “the love you take should be equal to the love you make“

Wild Thang have gone green in support of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity
Wild Thang have gone green in support of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity

Even though it’s been an incredibly difficult year for Wild Thang as it has been for many companies due to the impact of Covid pandemic, our team still feels it is important to continue to try and make a difference. Well done to all the staff that got involved and supported our go green for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity day.

The whole team had great fun in a completely covid secure environment enjoying a selection of goodies in our kitchen mess area dressed in green of course for staff to enjoy and make a donation, we also printed dual branded T-shirt’s for staff to purchase and wear for the day, with all proceeds going to the guys at Clatterbridge.

Charities have been hit as hard as any business so continue to need our support now more than ever with every little donation making a difference, we feel really proud of the teams fundraising efforts by donating £300 - it really is the Wild Thang Way!

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of the largest networked cancer centers in the UK.

The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is the only dedicated charity for patients and research at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The Centre makes over 220,000 patient contacts to over 30,000 patients a year, offering pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and proton therapy treatments from eighteen operating sites across Merseyside and Cheshire. By choosing to support this charity, you will help to improve patient experience, fund vital research, the latest therapies and innovations in cancer treatment.

We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. We pride ourselves on providing an environment in which patients receive the best possible experience, with the special touches that mean so much.

It is so important to us that we can do this for our patients, at our centers in Liverpool, Wirral and Aintree along with our network of chemotherapy clinics in hospitals across the region, and it is something that we certainly aim to bring to our new hospital in the heart of Liverpool.

I’m dreaming of a covid free Christmas just like the ones we used to know !
I’m dreaming of a covid free Christmas just like the ones we used to know !

Where do we start when it comes to looking back on 2020, well I think now more than ever it has to start with a big, huge, massive thank you !

To our incredible clients & suppliers who have all helped us weather the storm that has been 2020, every order placed has meant so much this year and having a stable supply chain is central to us being able to deliver the world class service we strive to deliver.

A big thank you to the whole Wild Thang team for their commitment & dedication in helping us get through what has been the companies most difficult time in its near 25 year history. We all committed as a team from day one of lockdown to make sure we not only survived but thrived as a team and company.

While like many companies sales may have been reduced in 2020, it has not reduced our optimism and determination to make 2021 our most successful ever. It’s due to our teams commitment that our world class development is now completed which places us in our strongest position ever to deliver one world class solution & are always here to help with expert advice to solve any branded clothing, merchandise and print puzzle.

Four years in the making & we can’t wait to give you an official tour of our new world class development when it’s safe to do so in 2021. But until then we will be doing a virtual launch and tour over the coming months that will hopefully showcase how far we have come as a company in the last 24 years.

Christmas is the time when we can all make a difference so as our last job of the year our Team Christmas themed day raised money that went towards buying arts and crafts for the children at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, as we knew this was something that they were running short of, we also made a delivery into Liverpool Cathedrals food bank to help those less fortunate at this time of year.

We’d like to thank our generous staff for contributing and helping make these donations possible, you’re the best. The clock is ticking and we will be closing in the next hour for our festive break, but we’ll be back with a bang on the 4th Jan, recharged and ready to go!

Wild Thang now looks to 2021 with great ambition to make it our most successful ever.

Wishing all Wild Thang’s Clients, Suppliers, Colleagues, Family and Friends A very safe Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Team Wild Thang

Wild Thang are proud to support the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2020

This year they went virtual due to the impact of Covid-19 and it was streamed live on a dedicated You Tube channel on the 10TH of November which was fantastic. This enabled deserving shortlisted nominees to receive some much needed publicity highlighting the very best in the hospitality, event and tourism industry which we know has been very hard hit.

Andrew Dwerryhouse Wild Thang Managing Director commented: “After many years of supporting this fantastic and prestigious event it was great to hear that it was still going ahead with an innovative virtual awards ceremony adapting in the face of the Corona Virus Pandemic. On the evening we were proud to announce Liverpool Gin Distillery as the winners of the Pub Of The Year Category, big congratulations to their whole team, it is such a fantastic & innovative venue.

This year Wild Thang produced the awards for the event & while it has been an incredibly challenging year for so many businesses it’s probably never been more important to support each other wherever, however and whenever you can so we can all survive & thrive.“

We will never stop saying thank you to our amazing team and in these challenging covid times it’s still so important to let our team know that we care, and the door is always open!

A message from the senior management to our amazing team. “We know the past 6-7 Months have been challenging on so many levels and this will have had an impact on everyone’s physical and mental well-being at some point over that time. We want to personally thank you all for showing such resilience over the past months to help us overcome some of those challenges and the extra time, energy and efforts some individuals have freely given.

To all those who have gone out of their way to make sure even in these challenging times we are still delivering the ultimate service and products to our clients which gives us the best possible chance of surviving and thriving as an organisation. We know there are still many challenges relating to Covid 19 and its impact but we thought it was important to take a moment as a company and as a team to reflect on the positives that are happening even in the face of the virus and its impact on the company. We have been continuing to complete some work to the very highest of world class standards, adapt and innovate and are now closer than ever to completing the building development to finally create the best possible workplace environment for all our employees after 4 difficult years of planning.

We hope you enjoyed the little breakfast treat and please find enclosed a personalised Wild Thang water bottle for each member of the team as a reminder to stay hydrated, stay healthy and hopefully also avoid any cross contamination. Never has there been a more important time to look out for each other, follow all the safety guidelines to make sure we are a covid secure business.

Please remember the door is always open should you ever need to talk about any concerns related to your physical or mental wellbeing, support is always available as we are in this together. It’s good to talk and we want to talk about any concerns, there is also help and links available on the NHS website. Let’s remember to keep a positive outlook, work as a team and together we will beat this virus thang so we can survive, thrive and create a better future for every employee.”

Heartfelt thank you from Wild Thang to everyone who has purchased an NHS t-shirt !
Heartfelt thank you from Wild Thang to everyone who has purchased an NHS t-shirt !

Big thank you to everyone who has made sure those NHS heroes know They’ll Never Walk Alone by purchasing a t-shirt over the past few weeks.

Just so you know the impact you have been making by purchasing a t-shirt we have put together an info graphic, which was designed by our very talented studio.

We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback with lots of people posting photo’s which really has made us feel incredibly proud as a team, and really makes us feel that our efforts to make a difference are worthwhile. Sharing our message across social media was the real aim and that has been achieved with tens of thousands of social media interactions.

As you know our first order to be dispatched was a very special delivery to 100-year-old Captain Tom Moore as a birthday treat, what an incredible hero that has captured the nation’s hearts with his fundraising for the NHS.

We have even had a few high profile t-shirt purchases, from the amazing comedian Johnny Vegas, who has been on tour around the hospitals in the North West giving his time up selflessly for those NHS Heroes, and many thanks to the very talented Celebrity Chef from Sunday Brunch on Channel 4, Simon Rimmer.

But the highlight for the week was from Ellie Orton, CEO of NHS Charities Together who commented “Well done for all the support you are giving to NHS charities this is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing with us, we really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your support to NHSCT and our members. I love the videos and selfies they are great.”

We have had orders from across the UK and Internationally so we’re happy to report we have sold over 370 t-shirt’s over the past few weeks.

Don’t forget every t-shirt purchased we are donating 50% to NHS Charities or a t-shirt to an NHS hero in their fight against the virus, to let those heroes get the message loud and clear, whilst also importantly promoting social distancing.

Like many businesses in the UK it’s a worrying time, our sales have understandably slowed since lockdown so initiatives like this even in a small way will also help Wild Thang to reintroduce staff when the UK starts to return to normality, we cannot wait to be back up to full strength and doing what we do best, which as a company is to try and make a difference to those around us, it’s part of our ethos, and as we say - ‘It’s the Wild Thang Way!’.

Together we can all make a difference T-shirts still available over on the Wild Thang Shop

Thank you everyone who has helped make sure those NHS heroes know they will never walk alone !

What a fantastic week one!

Big thank you to everyone who has made sure those NHS Heroes Know They Will Never Walk Alone by purchasing a t-shirt this past week.

The first orders for our t-shirts have been delivered over the past week and we have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback.

Lots of people have been posting photo’s which has got us all a bit emotional at Wild Thang & really makes us feel our efforts are worthwhile & are making a difference. More amazing images to follow and thank you so much to everyone who is supporting and letting those NHS Heroes know they Will Never Walk Alone #NHSwillneverwalkalone

Our first order to be dispatched as a very special delivery was of course heading to 99-year-old Captain Tom Moore, who has captured the nation’s hearts with his fundraising for the NHS.

We have had orders from around the UK but also got our first international order which is heading over to Sweden. Happy to report that positive momentum seems to be building, having sold just under over 200 t-shirt’s in the first 7 days which is a great start.

Hopefully this is just the start so it’s critical for everyone to continue spreading the word that our NHS Heroes will never walk alone.

Remember Wild Thang wanted to make a difference to help let them heroes know they will never walk alone whilst also promoting social distancing.

For every t-shirt purchased we will donate 50% to NHS Charities Charity No 1186569 OR a t-shirt to an NHS hero in their fight against the virus.

Like many businesses in the UK it’s a worrying time, our sales have understandably slowed down considerably since lockdown so initiatives like this even in a small way will also help Wild Thang to reintroduce staff when the UK starts to return to normality, we cannot wait to be back up to full strength and doing what we do best, which as a company is to try and make a difference to those around us, it’s part of our ethos, and as we say -

Wild Thangs t-shirt range lets our NHS heroes know they will never walk alone in the fight against Covid-19!!
Wild Thangs t-shirt range lets our NHS heroes know they will never walk alone in the fight against Covid-19!!

Wild Thang wanted to make a difference, so for each t-shirt purchased we have committed to donate 50% of the purchase price to NHS charities Charity No 1186569 , or send a t-shirt to NHS staff on the front line of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initial idea for the NHS themed t-shirts came about after we created social distancing t-shirts as our last job before lockdown for our amazing team before some started working remotely.

The feedback from our friends and family was awesome and they loved the design, but still we wanted to do more, so we donated 28 sacks of garments for NHS workers over at Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral, we then also printed some cotton shopper bags for amazing Liverpool Women’s Hospital staff, all linked to helping in the fight against corona virus.

This got the team thinking, how else can we make a difference? We came up with the idea to produce a range of t-shirts so those NHS heroes really know they will never walk alone, and we can continue to raise awareness/make a difference in the fight against Covid-19, one t-shirt at a time!

Our creative team developed some awesome designs, we asked the public to vote for their favorites and they are now available in all their glory on the Wild Thang shop!

Please remember, if you do make a purchase you will not only be helping the NHS, you will also be helping Wild Thang in a small way to reintroduce staff as the UK starts to return to normality.
