Wild Thang sometimes did not know whether to laugh or cry as we were chosen for a showcase case study video to highlight our unique Brexit journey by the Liverpool Chamber of commerce. The video gives a unique insight into both the real challenges but also how Wild Thang would like the government to help businesses, ending on a positive note about our growth plans for the future which may have had some influence on their nomination as a finalist for the Chamber International Award!

Andrew Dwerryhouse Wild Thang MD was interviewed for the showcase and the whole team are incredibly proud to represent the manufacturing sector. Describing how we have navigated through what can only be described as the perfect storm through the Brexit challenges to not only survive but adapt and thrive, we hope that this can inspire other companies to do the same. Without doubt one of most challenging moments in the company’s 25 year history, yet we have never been more excited about the future with plans to double our turnover and increase our staffing levels by 20-30% over the next 3 years.

“Hopefully this mini video also showcases our £2m new world class HQ development that is nearing very final snagging completion before the final launch, this has been delayed many times due to the impact of the World Wide Covid Pandemic which obviously has brought a huge amount of disruption and uncertainty in so many other ways. We really have to laugh when we look back or we would cry to have had three huge challenges for the price of one. We now believe we have passed through the eye of the storm."

Given that St Patrick’s day is very nearly upon us it had to be this week’s merchandise in action. St Paddy’s revellers really know how to have a good time and a little bit of branded merchandise seems to be part and parcel of celebrating everything Irish and everything green.

I am quite fond of the black stuff so here are a few interesting facts for you, did you know it’s estimated that 13 million pints of Guinness will be consumed worldwide on St. Patrick's Day & Guinness has been enjoyed at every St. Patrick’s Day since Arthur Guinness set up his brewery in 1759 so we say have fun, drink sensibly and know your limits.

We love this photo of the revellers which I think is really capturing the spirit and fun of one of the biggest days certainly in the Irish calendar. When it comes to branding we should never underestimate the power of the photograph to capture the moment of any event & deliver real impact, think PR exposure, think the endless social media sharing or competitions on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook & Snapchat.

Developing high impact and relevant design that really embraced Jamie’s passion on the pitch and off the pitch, placing his 23 foundation at the heart of all designs. We produced a relevant range of merchandise which included branded hoodies, t-shirts, pin badges, teddy bears, woven football scarfs, lanyards, caps, medal & wristbands. We are happy to report the project was a big success raising a significant amount of money for Jamie’s 23 foundation & created excellent social media interaction & PR publicity. The brief in essence was to create a theme that would bring the two very different worlds of music and law together. We produced an innovative range of exhibition solutions and cool music related promotional merchandise incentives that included branded t-shirts, printed plectrums & sunglasses that would capture and engage the target music industry audience utilising the post-apocalyptic theme that we had created. The campaign was a big success in terms of social media interaction & PR publicity.
