Mondays don’t have to be pants, this is why I am so so pleased to share this amazing world record. You already know Wild Thang absolutely loves all things big, huge, massive related to products we sell, but this one is extra special for more than one reason. We probably produce more branded promotional branded underwear than anyone else in the UK and secondly by pure co-incidence this world record took place only down the round from our HQ.

The underpants measured a whopping 1,665 cm wide and 254 cm high and fitted very snugly around an amazing 286 people inside, this amazing world record was achieved by students from Rimrose Hope Primary School in Bootle, Liverpool. The record was organised by five students taking part in a competition in conjunction with the Gazelle group and 'Pants to Poverty,' which raises awareness for fair trade within the cotton industry. This was also very much close to our heart as a company being very much involved in the textile industry and holding Sedex membership we know how important it is to monitor your supply chain to make sure we also say ‘Pants to Poverty’.

VIEW UNDERWEAR

At Wild Thang we love all things big, large, gigantic, massive and huge related to products we sell. Check out the world's largest biggest #underpants #undies proving that pants simply don’t have to be pants & size does sometimes matter :-) The largest underpants measured 25.36 m (83 ft 2 in) across the waist and 18.09 m (59 ft 4 in) from waistband to crotch & was achieved by Cottonil (Egypt) in Cairo, Egypt on 7 March 2018. The event was for the launch of a campaign to raise awareness for prostate cancer by offering free health checks. What a fantastic attention grabbing stunt gaining entry into the famous Guinness Book of Records but also creating that all important awareness of a very important health campaign. We have no doubt this would have created endless PR publicity and social media interaction. Remember pants don’t have to be pants & we have in fact produced plenty of branded personalised underpants and underwear so have plenty of knowledge of those garments to cover those nether regions. UNDERPANTS

Well what a weekend it was in Brighton for the Paddy Power Champions League of Darts tournament! Plenty of action over the 4 sessions and some great darts.

We were delighted & proud to have supplied the amazing merchandise which gave the event a real X Factor on the BBC, from the bespoke pantone matched wigs along with plenty of iconic Lucky Pants and of course the Winners/Runners Up trophies!

We really think this is a perfect example of world class merchandise in action & will hopefully give you a little inspiration for your next marketing campaign so it can really maximise the branding opportunity while targeting a specific event & audience.

Never underestimate the power of the photograph to capture the moment of any campaign & deliver real impact, think PR exposure, think the endless social media sharing or competitions on Instagram, twitter, Facebook & Snapchat. Gary Anderson stormed the final over Peter Wright to take the £100k prize, but more importantly (maybe not more importantly!!) he also took home the laser engraved aluminium winner’s trophy Wild Thang produced.
