Wild Thang announce their long term Irish and European expansion plans on the world famous St Patrick’s Day! We chose the perfect day to celebrate taking our next step to international success by forming our Irish company that will facilitate ease of trading and distribution between Ireland and the rest of Europe. With offices, warehousing and distribution based in Dublin and Kilkenny we can service our growing number of international clients. As part of that significant growth plan Wild Thang have become members of the British and Irish Trading Alliance to help build their customer base and supply chain worldwide.

Wild Thang sometimes did not know whether to laugh or cry as we were chosen for a showcase case study video to highlight our unique Brexit journey by the Liverpool Chamber of commerce. The video gives a unique insight into both the real challenges but also how Wild Thang would like the government to help businesses, ending on a positive note about our growth plans for the future which may have had some influence on their nomination as a finalist for the Chamber International Award!

Andrew Dwerryhouse Wild Thang MD was interviewed for the showcase and the whole team are incredibly proud to represent the manufacturing sector. Describing how we have navigated through what can only be described as the perfect storm through the Brexit challenges to not only survive but adapt and thrive, we hope that this can inspire other companies to do the same. Without doubt one of most challenging moments in the company’s 25 year history, yet we have never been more excited about the future with plans to double our turnover and increase our staffing levels by 20-30% over the next 3 years.

We really have to laugh when we look back or we would cry to have had three huge challenges for the price of one. We now believe we have passed through the eye of the storm."

MERCHANDISE IN ACTION Raising A Glass To St Patrick’s Day!

Given that St Patrick’s day is very nearly upon us it had to be this week’s merchandise in action. St Paddy’s revellers really know how to have a good time and a little bit of branded merchandise seems to be part and parcel of celebrating everything Irish and everything green.

I am quite fond of the black stuff so here are a few interesting facts for you, did you know it’s estimated that 13 million pints of Guinness will be consumed worldwide on St. Patrick's Day & Guinness has been enjoyed at every St. Patrick’s Day since Arthur Guinness set up his brewery in 1759 so we say have fun, drink sensibly and know your limits.

We love this photo of the revellers which I think is really capturing the spirit and fun of one of the biggest days certainly in the Irish calendar.
