Well what a weekend it was in Brighton for the Paddy Power Champions League of Darts tournament! Plenty of action over the 4 sessions and some great darts.

We were delighted & proud to have supplied the amazing merchandise which gave the event a real X Factor on the BBC, from the bespoke pantone matched wigs along with plenty of iconic Lucky Pants and of course the Winners/Runners Up trophies!

We simply love bringing you random facts & information about products we sell & I would be very surprised if you had not used a post-it note at some point as a reminder to do list or simply to mark something in a page with some comments. We loved this extreme post-it note image but they may have gone a little too far with those reminders.

 Did you know The original postit notes only ended up being yellow by chance & sometimes an innovative product only gets to market through a bit of luck, coincidence & persistence. In 1968, a scientist at 3M in the United States, Dr. Spencer Silver, was attempting to develop a super-strong adhesive. Instead he accidentally created a "low-tack", reusable, pressure-sensitive adhesive, Silver promoted his "solution without a problem" within 3M both informally and through seminars but failed to gain acceptance. In 1974 a colleague who had attended one of his seminars, Art Fry, came up with the idea of using the adhesive to anchor his bookmark in his hymnbook. The original notes yellow colour was chosen by accident, as the lab next-door to the Post-it team had only yellow scrap paper to use the rest as they say is history.

The Pantone Color Matching System is a standardised colour reproduction system. The Pantone system enables an accurate colour match every time and also allows for many special colours to be produced, such as metallics and fluorescents. Pantone colours are mainly used on one-colour, two-colour or three-colour print jobs, common for business cards or letterheads & pretty much any other physical advertising medium which is highly recommended for brand consistency.
