Wild Thang are incredibly proud to be a founding member and have committed to continue supporting the Mayoral 100 Club Initiative in 2019 which will form a major part of the companies CSR. The Mayoral 100 club is a unique initiative created by Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson that gives members access to an extensive range of benefits and experiences including invite only high profile events, influential networking opportunities, the opportunity to be drawn as a headline sponsor for the Mersey River Festival all aimed at financially supporting the cultural events within the Liverpool City region, that is key to driving the Liverpool City Regions visitor economy while bringing the private and public sector closer together.

Andrew Dwerryhouse, Wild Thang MD commented: “Wild Thang are incredibly proud to be a founding member and have committed to continue supporting the Mayoral 100 Club Initiative in 2019. We have seen first-hand the importance of cultural activity in the Liverpool region that is helping grow our local visitor economy & is a genuine driver for growth creating both employment and investment. It’s fantastic to have access on occasion to Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson and some of the LCC senior team & we know through networking opportunities and exposure this has helped Wild Thang secure substantial orders but also raise our visibility highlighting the companies commitment to our City and forming a very important part of our CSR, knowing that our membership will directly help fund some of the incredible world class cultural events across the City and benefit every member of the regions community.”

Wild Thang are proud to have produced Giant and Spectacular Merchandise!

Wild Thang are very proud to have been the Official Merchandise Suppliers in conjunction with Culture Liverpool for the flagship Giant blockbuster highlight event of the year in celebration of the 10th year anniversary since European Capital of Culture 2008. Aptly named ‘Liverpool’s Dream’, it is expected to attract over a million visitors to Liverpool.

Andrew Dwerryhouse Wild Thang Managing Director commented: “Made In Liverpool for Liverpool, it’s not every day you get to produce the Official Merchandise for one of the world's greatest cultural street theatre events. Royal De Luxe are bringing the Giants back to Liverpool this weekend, once again creating one of the UK's largest and most spectacular street theatre cultural events. Having been involved in the trilogy of events in 2012, 2014 and now 2018, this is one of Wild Thang’s proudest merchandise projects to have been involved in this gigantic and prestigious event really does make our heart sing. I am just as proud of the Wild Thang team who put together the range and worked towards some very tight deadlines to get it on the shelves in time. Special thanks goes to Louise Henderson who worked directly on the project, pictured to the right showcasing some of the Official Merchandise.  I am sure many people will take giant strides towards this quality merchandise and memento's, lovingly produced by Wild Thang.”

The range consisted of printed t-shirts, limited edition hand screen-printed A2 posters and much more, available online.

GIANT & SPECTACULAR MERCHANDISE IN ACTION
GIANT & SPECTACULAR MERCHANDISE IN ACTION

With the Giants visit very nearly upon us we thought we would stay on theme with this fantastic #MerchandiseInAction image. We love it when people share their merchandise in action online & across social media as it really is a key driver for marketing the availability. Wild Thang think this is a great example of branded retail quality merchandise highlighting not only the availability of the merchandise but maybe just as importantly also becoming a direct advertisement for that upcoming event or brand.

Never underestimate the power of the photograph to capture the moment of any campaign & deliver real impact, think PR exposure, think the endless social media sharing on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook & Snapchat. We know merchandise at events is a critical part of income streams but we must never forget it’s also about growing awareness for the brand, event or person.

We hope you all have a giant, safe & spectacular weekend enjoying this once in a lifetime experience. Maybe it will also give you a little inspiration & please

Wild Thang are proud to be Culture Liverpool’s official uniform sponsor & partner for 2018/19
Wild Thang are proud to be Culture Liverpool’s official uniform sponsor & partner for 2018/19

2018 is a very special year for the city region, being 10 years since Capital Of Culture & Wild Thang are really proud to be sponsoring & supplying the Culture Teams Uniform. In 2008 Liverpool was named European Capital of Culture, since then they have never been far from the spotlight. Over the last five years Culture Liverpool, Liverpool City Council’s cultural service, has continued to build on its world class reputation, using culture as the driving force for the regeneration of the whole city.

Andrew Dwerryhouse MD at Wild Thang commented “We have been involved in some way or form in virtually every major cultural event over the past 10 + years, Wild Thang have seen first-hand the importance of cultural activity across our region and how it is helping grow our local visitor economy creating both employment and investment. The 10th anniversary since Capital of Culture is a very significant moment for the whole of the Liverpool City Region. 2018 is hosting an array of world class cultural events & that’s exactly why we are so proud to have partnered with the Liverpool Culture Team to supply a quality uniform for their team that will keep them comfortable, protected and visible over the next year at all major events. Did you know the vast majority of these major cultural events are free to the public and need the support of the private sector to fill the funding gaps to ensure they continue to happen, so that’s why we are so proud that this forms an important part of our very own Corporate Social Responsibility”

Sue Finnegan commented Head of Commercial & Marketing at Culture Liverpool “We have worked with Andrew and his team at Wild Thang for over 15 years due to their passion for the City, their dedication to delivering first class customer care and quality products. The team are never afraid to say ‘I don’t think that will work’ and come up with fantastic ideas delivering the maximum ROI for clients such as ourselves and we absolutely see them as an extension to our team – the team behind the city’s 2008 European Capital of Culture celebrations. Choosing a supplier to partner with for the team’s kit was a no brainer and to work with a Liverpool home grown company makes it all the more satisfying.”
