As Pride Month ends, we are changing our logo from rainbow back to our original Wild Thang colours. We thought it was incredibly important to reflect on some of the fantastic campaigns, support we have offered and engagement we have been involved in over the entire pride month. Here is an overall insight of what Wild Thang are proud to have been involved in over the Pride Month.

At the start of June we kick started our pride month by adapting our logo to the bright pride colours to celebrate diversity, tolerance, awareness and celebration of the positive impact the LGBTQ+ community has on our society!

RAINBOW TOFFEES X NEVILLE SOUTH BY NYCHYL.COM

We are proud to support the work NYCHYL are doing with Rainbow Toffees on their new limited edition best seller t-shirt.

The limited edition t-shirt comes with a signed post card by Neville Southall, a proud patron of the Rainbow Toffees in a presentation box.

Wild Thang have donated the 20 t-shirts for the fantastic launch, enabling all profits to go towards the wonderful work carried out by the Rainbow Toffees.

Although Pride Month is over, the support and celebrations take place throughout the year. This is just a reminder that this year’s Pride in the Liverpool City Region is taking place on Saturday 30th July.

NW LGBTQ+ Business Awards Pride Inspiration Nychyl x Rainbow Toffees Liverpool Pride Get In Touch

What an exciting time for this year’s Pride celebrations this June! We are post-covid and can finally celebrate restriction-free across the UK and around the world! This year marks a special date, as it is the 50^th anniversary of the first Pride march in the UK in 1972.

We use the month of June to honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan, that changed gay rights for many people not only just in America but also worldwide! It is a moment to reflect on the progress made towards equality but also to remember those who fought for LGBTQ+ communities rights and acknowledge the progress to continue.

This year we will see, the famous Pride parades and celebrations back throughout June but also throughout the year. It is an opportunity to bring people together by celebrating diversity, freedom and inclusivity.

JAKE DANIELS, THE FIRST ENGLISH PRO FOOTBALLER TO COME OUT AS GAY SINCE 1990

On the topic of football and the fantastic work The Premier League are doing in the support of the LGBTQ+ community, this year Jake Daniels the 17 year old Blackpool forward has ended the decades of silence within the male football community in consideration to the LGBTQ+ community. In an interview he had explained that he is ready to act as a role model for others in the game after deciding this is the right time to be himself, free and confident within his identity. Big thank you to everyone who has made sure those NHS heroes know They’ll Never Walk Alone by purchasing a t-shirt over the past few weeks.

Just so you know the impact you have been making by purchasing a t-shirt we have put together an info graphic, which was designed by our very talented studio.

We have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback with lots of people posting photo’s which really has made us feel incredibly proud as a team, and really makes us feel that our efforts to make a difference are worthwhile. Sharing our message across social media was the real aim and that has been achieved with tens of thousands of social media interactions.

As you know our first order to be dispatched was a very special delivery to 100-year-old Captain Tom Moore as a birthday treat, what an incredible hero that has captured the nation’s hearts with his fundraising for the NHS.

We have even had a few high profile t-shirt purchases, from the amazing comedian Johnny Vegas, who has been on tour around the hospitals in the North West giving his time up selflessly for those NHS Heroes, and many thanks to the very talented Celebrity Chef from Sunday Brunch on Channel 4, Simon Rimmer.

But the highlight for the week was from Ellie Orton, CEO of NHS Charities Together who commented “Well done for all the support you are giving to NHS charities this is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing with us, we really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your support to NHSCT and our members. I love the videos and selfies they are great.”

We have had orders from across the UK and Internationally so we’re happy to report we have sold over 370 t-shirt’s over the past few weeks.

Don’t forget every t-shirt purchased we are donating 50% to NHS Charities or a t-shirt to an NHS hero in their fight against the virus, to let those heroes get the message loud and clear, whilst also importantly promoting social distancing.

Like many businesses in the UK it’s a worrying time, our sales have understandably slowed since lockdown so initiatives like this even in a small way will also help Wild Thang to reintroduce staff when the UK starts to return to normality, we cannot wait to be back up to full strength and doing what we do best, which as a company is to try and make a difference to those around us, it’s part of our ethos, and as we say - ‘It’s the Wild Thang Way!’.

What a fantastic week one!

Our first order to be dispatched as a very special delivery was of course heading to 99-year-old Captain Tom Moore, who has captured the nation’s hearts with his fundraising for the NHS.

We have had orders from around the UK but also got our first international order which is heading over to Sweden. Happy to report that positive momentum seems to be building, having sold just under over 200 t-shirt’s in the first 7 days which is a great start.

Hopefully this is just the start so it’s critical for everyone to continue spreading the word that our NHS Heroes will never walk alone.

Wild Thang wanted to make a difference, so for each t-shirt purchased we have committed to donate 50% of the purchase price to NHS charities Charity No 1186569 , or send a t-shirt to NHS staff on the front line of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initial idea for the NHS themed t-shirts came about after we created social distancing t-shirts as our last job before lockdown for our amazing team before some started working remotely.

The feedback from our friends and family was awesome and they loved the design, but still we wanted to do more, so we donated 28 sacks of garments for NHS workers over at Clatterbridge Hospital on the Wirral, we then also printed some cotton shopper bags for amazing Liverpool Women’s Hospital staff, all linked to helping in the fight against corona virus.

This got the team thinking, how else can we make a difference? We came up with the idea to produce a range of t-shirts so those NHS heroes really know they will never walk alone, and we can continue to raise awareness/make a difference in the fight against Covid-19, one t-shirt at a time!

Our creative team developed some awesome designs, we asked the public to vote for their favorites and they are now available in all their glory on the Wild Thang shop!

VIEW JUTE BAGS

With mental health awareness currently being very much in the spotlight in the media and high on the agenda for our health services across the UK, it reminded Wild Thang of some great Merchandise In Action with royal approval. The image shows Prince William & Princess Kate in charge of kicking off proceedings at the London Marathon wearing branded jackets to help shine a spotlight on mental health campaign, Heads Together, which was also the marathon’s official charity that year.
