Now the curtains have fallen on 2023, we want to take a moment to bask in what was a truly exceptional year. It has been a journey defined by team and company progress, with an unwavering commitment to sustainability and a profound sense of community.

Sustainability emerged as the defining thread for Wild Thang, weaving its way into the very fabric of our ethos. The year commenced with the unveiling of our robust 8-stage sustainability pledge, a comprehensive commitment that set the tone for a year marked by eco-conscious decisions and responsible practices. The installation of solar panels at Wild Thang HQ became a significant milestone, not only harnessing renewable energy but also positioning us as pioneers in sustainable energy adoption, generating 162% of our energy needs. Our recent initiation of the B-Corp journey further underscored our dedication to balancing profit with purpose, adhering to the highest standards of social and environmental accountability. Throughout the year, our sponsorship of numerous sustainability initiatives served as tangible expressions of our commitment to making a positive impact, from supporting ethical trade practices to excelling in the SMETA Audit. As we reflect on 2023, it is evident that sustainability is not just a strategic choice for Wild Thang but an integral part of our DNA, guiding us toward a future where business success harmonizes seamlessly with environmental, social and governance responsibility.

Alongside sustainability, innovation has been our constant companion throughout the year, we have witnessed a surge in strategic investments, shaping the trajectory of our growth. The two which stand out are the previously mentioned installation of solar panels at Wild Thang HQ stands as a testament to our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility and the pioneering MHM S-Type Xtreme screen printing technology, which redefines industry standards, to the continuous improvement in our machinery. Wild Thang has strategically allocated resources to ensure our operations remain at the cutting edge of branding technology. This heightened investment not only reflects our commitment to staying ahead of industry trends but also positions us as a leader in providing world-class solutions for branded clothing, merchandise and print to our clients.

At Wild Thang, while we definitely work hard we also make sure we play hard! We embarked on a whirlwind of captivating social events that infused our workplace with camaraderie and shared laughter. We started the year with our Spring social which brought a fantastic brewery tour around Liverpool, offering a delightful exploration of the city's local breweries and further strengthening the bonds within our Wild Thang family. As the summer sun cast its glow, our Summer Social at Junkyard Golf followed by Crazy Pedro's became a vibrant mosaic of fun, pizza indulgence, and mini-golf madness, showcasing the lively spirit that defines our team. Our Autumn extravaganza transported us into the heart of Liverpool's musical legacy, courtesy of The Beatles Story followed by the Longshot bar, creating unforgettable moments of bonding and celebration. Culminating in festive cheer, our Christmas Party at the Titanic Hotel provided the perfect backdrop to toast the year's achievements and revel in the holiday spirit. These diverse and dynamic social events served as the glue that bound us together, fostering a sense of community and making 2023 a year to remember for the Wild Thang team.

Thanks to the great working balance at Wild Thang, 2023 just like many years at Wild Thang has been filled with business accolades! The big awards came with double victories at the Chamber of Commerce Innovation in Business Awards 2023. We came out on top as Sustainable Business of the Year and International Business of the Year. Not only do these awards directly relate to some of our key objectives for 2023, but these triumphs are reflections of our dedication to delivering excellence to our clients and stakeholders.

While winning awards is fantastic and a key metric when it comes to business growth, we really do what we can to give back and last year was no different, over the course of 2023 we worked with a whole range of different charities including the Owen McVeigh Foundation to the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and our main Wild Thang charity partnership with the John Haynes Foundation! We also held multiple fun days at Wild Thang HQ in order to raise money, such as the Children in Need Extravaganza, Christmas Jumper Day and the Eurovision party. We are so proud of the team for how much money was raised and we can't wait to see who we can work with to raise more in 2024.

Just like we did with the charities, we have developed fantastic partnerships and sponsorships throughout the year. We had the pleasure of sponsoring several award ceremonies such as the Good Small Business Awards and the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, it is always a huge honour to sponsor an awards event not only to create connections but to be involved in a fantastic night for all involved. Wild Thang's new long-term support agreement with The Prince's Trust and our partnership with 2030Hub and Downtown in Business are just some of the amazing partnerships we have developed over the years which will fuel great business advancement alongside a great relationship!

2023 was also the year that we went to publicly spotlight the opening of our new spectacular facility! For the opening, we hosted the first Wild Thang Expo in which the previously mentioned client, sponsors and partners were all invited to our new building alongside some of our regular suppliers who got to set up stalls on the day. It was a spectacular couple of days in which we got to show off our new building as well as meet with our customers in person!
