At Wild Thang, we believe in making a difference that goes beyond the confines of our business. We know that everyone is touched in some way by cancer which is exactly why we felt it was so important as a team to support Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and raise awareness around World Cancer Day which took place on 4th February, our team stands united in a powerful commitment to raise funds and awareness for this vital cause.
Andrew & Carrie Dwerryhouse Holding Our World Cancer Day Flag
As our week finished, on Friday 2nd February we made a symbolic gesture at Wild Thang HQ when the team came together to raise a flag in the fight against cancer and raise awareness to act as a beacon of hope and solidarity, visibly marking our individual support and commitment.
Our commitment was further demonstrated later on Friday evening by the enthusiastic participation of 14 strong Wild Thang team members in The Clatterbridge Glow Green Night Walk.
The Glow Green Wild Thang Team
The atmosphere was truly electric with 1500 individuals participating as the streets of Liverpool were transformed with vibrant green hues as iconic landmarks, including the Three Graces, the Radio City Tower and St George's Hall became beacons of support along the 8km route. It was so wonderful to see thousands of people come together for the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity in order to raise money to fight cancer by walking this amazing route through our fantastic city!
Metropolitan Cathedral Lit Up Green
The Glow Green event also offered a touching moment of reflection at the Metropolitan Cathedral, where hundreds of lanterns illuminated the steps. Participants personalised these lanterns, turning the evening into a touching tribute.

Wild Thang was delighted to be responsible for producing the Glow Green merchandise for the event, this includes the complimentary t-shirts for all participants which of course were a vibrant neon green colour. Having the opportunity to put our world class branding services to work for a great cause really fills us with pride! It was an honour to provide these items, helping to amplify the message of the event and the visibility of the cause. Special well done message to all the people and volunteers that were involved & also the key sponsor Arriva that all made this very special Glow Green Night Walk possible.

At Wild Thang giving back means a lot to the whole team, we frequently work with a whole range of different charities such as the Owen McVeigh Foundation and our main Wild Thang charity partnership with the John Haynes Foundation! We also held multiple fun days in 2023 at Wild Thang HQ in order to raise money, such as the Children in Need Extravaganza, Christmas Jumper Day and the Eurovision party. We are so proud of the team for how much money we have been raising and we are delighted to have another opportunity early into 2024 to raise more money for a great cause.

Overall money raised by team Wild Thang for The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity will be in the region £700, it’s still not too late to make a donation through the just giving page we set up which is highlighted below. As we now look beyond World Cancer day, our resolve to support cancer-related causes remains strong. We recognise that the battle against cancer is ongoing and our commitment to making a difference in this fight continues every day at Wild Thang!
