We are beyond proud, thrilled and very excited to announce as a team that Wild Thang has taken home the prestigious Sustainability Business of the Year award at the Liverpool Chamber Innovation in Business Awards 2024 for the second consecutive year. To have our sustainable efforts recognised for the second year running means the absolute world to Wild Thang & its team as this was the award we wanted to collect above any other. |
Last night marked a momentous occasion as the Wild Thang team attended the Innovation in Business Awards 2024 at the breathtaking world class St George’s Hall, it felt like we were walking in the footsteps of the region’s greatest sons & daughters, but now all of this evening’s finalists and winners are the regions very own history makers. Wild Thang MD Andrew Dwerryhouse made a great speech showcasing our one world class solution but also touched on what it’s all about and how we can support clients with expert advice from our amazing 50+ team, finally commenting on how companies or organistions should now only align with others that have shared values and ethics and how our commitment to ESG and sustainability can mean we can be that all important trusted supply partner. |

Winning this award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team, it validates the efforts we’ve poured into making sustainability a core focus of our business. These things could never happen without the support of many individuals and organisations beyond our team which include amazing clients, friends, partners, suppliers and family. Without the help of all those people, award winning moments like this would not be possible and now this acknowledgement will push us even further to continue placing ESG central to our core values in the years to come. |

As we reflect on this incredible achievement, we can’t help but feel immense pride in our 28-year journey. What started as a small company with a grant from the Prince’s Trust has evolved into the thriving business we are today, offering world-class branded merchandise, print and clothing solutions. This recognition at such a prestigious event is not just a win for Wild Thang but a nod to the long-term vision and commitment that has been at the heart of everything we do. From our roots in Liverpool to our international growth into Dublin and New Jersey, we continue to uphold our values of quality, creativity and sustainability.

This year, winning the Sustainable Business of the Year award for the second year feels particularly special. Sustainability has been a major focus for us as a business and our efforts have only intensified over the past year. From the installation of solar panels at Wild Thang HQ to our ongoing Sustainability Pledge and our submitted application to B-Corp, we are taking concrete steps to reduce our environmental footprint. To have this recognised by both a public vote and an expert panel means the world to us. |

It was amazing to see YKids attend as charity partners for the event! Ykids works to improve the lives and futures of children, young people and their families living in some of the UK’s most deprived areas, so it was great to see so many people donating to their amazing cause. They also brought out their famous prize wheel to the event offering a range of fun and amazing raffle prizes to win.
