This year marks our 27th year of membership, making us long-standing members of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce. It was an honour for Wild Thang to once again be part of such a prestigious event and to sponsor the Trailblazer Award, recognising individuals and organisations that demonstrate extraordinary innovation and leadership within their field. A huge congratulations to this year’s incredible shortlist and, of course, to the deserving winner, Hayley Smallman, who embodies everything this award stands for. It was inspiring to see so many passionate people and businesses using innovation to create positive change across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this would be a special occasion. The venue looked breathtaking, with stunning production from MSP Global, incredible music, and vibrant energy that perfectly reflected the spirit of innovation within our city. Hosted by the brilliant Greatest Hits Prenter Simon Ross ‘Rossie’, the night ran seamlessly, honouring businesses who continue to push boundaries across a range of industries, from sustainability and digital transformation to social value and global excellence. We were truly delighted to be there as proud sponsors and to celebrate alongside so many of our fellow Chamber members, partners, clients, and friends, many of whom we are proud to call clients.

Our MD, Andrew Dwerryhouse, explained while presenting the award:  “We chose the trailblazer award specifically as we would like to think Wild Thang is a trailblazer for all the right reasons, having won multiple awards previously, including the past 2 years as Sustainability Business Of The Year and very recently becoming B Corp certified. This, along with all our other ESG commitments, confirms we have now become one of the most sustainable and certified in our industry sector. We will never forget how the Chamber has helped us become a trailblazer over so many years, so on behalf of everyone at Wild Thang, we’d like to thank Paul Cherpeau and the entire Liverpool Chamber team personally for their previous and continued world class support”.

As we look back on another unforgettable evening, we’re filled with pride to be part of such an inspiring business community. Reflecting on  Wild Thang’s journey from a small startup with a Prince’s Trust grant to an industry leading international supplier of world-class creative branded clothing, merchandise, and print. We genuinely think every company should be asking the ‘WHY’ question and only aligning with companies they trust and have shared high standards, values and ethics. These awards are filled with likeminded companies, organisations and individuals who align with our very own values and ethics for using business as a platform to be a force for good in a way that’s better for people, the planet, and our communities.
