Our relationship with The Prince's Trust began in 1996, when Wild Thang received invaluable support in the form of a small grant, loan, training and mentoring. This assistance with never be forgotten as it laid the foundation for our business and played a crucial role in our early success. A special mention goes to Walter Yates, who mentored our Managing Director, Andrew Dwerryhouse, helping us write our first business plan and providing essential support during our formative years.

This is now our 28th year in business and we are now an industry leading company producing branded clothing, merchandise and print to some of the biggest brands in the UK and globally. To this day we are really proud of our small beginning and longstanding connection with The Prince's Trust, an organisation dedicated to supporting young people in transforming their lives. Founded by King Charles III in 1976, The Prince's Trust has become a leading UK youth charity, having helped over 1,000,000 young people turn their lives around and over 90,000 to start their own businesses. This incredible charity has been instrumental in providing young people with the confidence and skills needed to succeed, and we are honoured to be a part of the charities journey.

Last year we were thrilled to announce Wild Thang’s new long-term support agreement toThe Prince's Trust. Through this partnership, we will directly fund the next generation of aspiring young entrepreneurs through the trust's Enterprise Program. Through that partnership & becoming a member of the charities Enterprise Network we knew we had a bigger role to play as a long-established supporting alumni company & our story could be a really positive inspiring one to any young person considering setting up a business through the enterprise program.
So, it has been a real joy getting involved in lots of different Princes Trust events in Liverpool and London over the past year, here are just a few of the highlights, the best part has been listening to the inspirational young people’s journeys. Most recently in May , we had the privilege of attending The Prince's Trust and TK Maxx & Homesense Awards hosted by UK television presenters Ant and Dec. Taking place at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the awards celebrated the incredible achievements of young people, volunteers, and supporters who have benefited from the trust's programs. The event honours those who have overcome significant barriers to transform their lives and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Attending the awards and witnessing the impact of The Prince's Trust work was a humbling experience. We are grateful for the invitation and look forward to continuing our support for this remarkable organisation. The success stories we heard reaffirm our commitment to helping the next generation of young adults through our new long-term support agreement with The Prince's Trust.
One Of the Students Winning Sustainable Designs Being Showcased At London Fashion Week
In March we visited the amazing facilities at The Princes Trust South London Hub, learning more about the wide-ranging support The Prince’s Trust now give to young adults but also people that need guidance on their journey towards creating a career or simply wanting to get back into work. We met lots of fantastic people connected to the Enterprise Network and many of the wonderful Prince’s Trust team, but what made it so special was hearing directly from the many young people about the positive impact The Prince's Trust has made in their lives in a wide variety of areas from gaining confidence in life skills, getting work ready and to start a new business through the enterprise program.

In collaboration with The City Of Liverpool College we ran a competition in February for two students to have the opportunity to showcase their sustainable design as part of London fashion week, we of course invited The Princes Trust along and gave them a mention about the important work they are doing and the incredible impact that is making on young people lives, next year we hope to possibly give a Prince’s Trust supported business the same opportunity.

Andrew Dwerryhouse In Liverpool With The Future Entrepreneurs On The Enterprise Program
There have been a number of other connected events but probably our highlight of all these events was the biggest full circle moment for Andrew Dwerryhouse who personally took time out to speak about both his and Wild Thang’s journey to the other future entrepreneurs that are going through The Prince's Trust enterprise program in Liverpool.
