We are delighted to announce our support to the Builder Book Project, an initiative under Split Perspectivz CIC, spearheaded by authors Jude Lennon and Natalie Reeves Billing since 2020. The collaboration aims to merge creativity with crucial educational themes, this year focusing on sustainability which is something we are embracing across all areas of the business so there was a wonderful synergy with regards to our shared values and ethics right from the start.

Builder Book Project has creatively engaged children across the North West, enhancing their literacy while integrating important societal themes. Their current project, which Wild Thang is thrilled to support, involves distributing over 10,000 educational packs designed to teach sustainability through engaging bug-related cartoons and imaginative activities.

In addition to educational packs, our partnership extends to producing sustainable awards & other collateral for an upcoming event at Shakespeare North Playhouse on 16th of October. We will also be working with them closely on a range of other sustainable merchandise options that can help act as extra support collateral for the bigger projects with a percentage of profits going back to be reinvested in the project. All these items not only highlight our commitment to the environment but also serve as a symbol of recognition for creative young minds.

What Is Builder Book?

As eco-sponsors, Wild Thang’s logo will proudly feature on each pack and within the directory, showcasing our dedication to all things ESG but especially sustainability and community support. The event will culminate in a children’s artwork competition, celebrating the creativity of young participants.

We are actively pursuing B Corp certification, striving to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance. The artwork competition is a particularly exciting aspect of this partnership. The winner, along with a guardian, will be invited to Wild Thang HQ to observe our branding process firsthand, offering a unique glimpse into the world of professional branded clothing merchandise and print production.

This initiative has successfully raised £110,000 so far, demonstrating the community’s support and belief in the project’s value. These funds have been instrumental in broadening the reach and impact of the educational packs. We know our youngest daughter would be excited to receive a fun bug themed pack and enjoy learning all about sustainability through fantastic challenges.’
