The Claire House Children's Hospice Golf Classic, sponsored by Wild Thang, took place at the prestigious Hesketh Golf Club to raise funds and awareness for The Claire House Children's Hospice.

Golfers and supporters were treated to an exceptional backdrop of well-manicured greens and challenging fairways. The tournament ran on a four-ball better Stableford score system to determine the winner of the day, adding a competitive edge to the fundraising event.
The Collection Of Prizes At The Event
Wild Thang, alongside Liverpool John Moores University, Davanti Tyres, Ron Crosbie and others, took the forefront in sponsoring the event. Their commitment to community support and charity was evident in their enthusiastic participation and sponsorship. Wild Thang Director, John Howarth lead Team Wild Thang to a 4th place finish on the day. Participants had the chance to win enticing prizes, ranging from signed Liverpool FC and Everton FC shirts for the longest putt to a 6L bottle of Whispering Angel Rosé for the nearest to the bottle of challenge. The ‘Escape the Bunker’ challenge rewarded successful participants with a sleeve of Wild Thang branded golf balls, ensuring that the competitive spirit was high throughout the day.

But beyond the competition and the prizes, the heart of the event was in its cause. The Claire House Children's Hospice Golf Classic was arranged and delivered exclusively by students from LJMU, including Ryan Linford, and was much more than just a day on the golf course; it was a day of coming together for a cause that supports life-limited children and their families, providing them with care and comfort during difficult times.
