Empowering Change: Our Sponsorship at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Conference

At Wild Thang, we're all about supporting initiatives that drive positive change. Yesterday, we had the honour of being Platinum sponsors at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Conference, an event close to our hearts.

After a challenging 3-year gap due to the pandemic, we were thrilled to see the return of this much-anticipated conference. This year's event took place at the Crowne Plaza, Chester! The energy was electrifying as fundraisers and charity leaders from across the region came together to learn, network, and celebrate the incredible work that shapes our communities.

Wild Thang also sponsored the high quality conference goody bag which was supplied and printed in house, we made sure it was a sustainable product and it was actually made of 100% recycled material, 70% recycled cotton and 30% recycled products, we had many compliments on the quality but also that we had showcased a more sustainable option.

MD Andrew Dwerryhouse Giving A Speech At The Conference

We believe in the power of collaboration and innovation, and that's why being part of an event like this fills us with pride. Our MD Andrew Dwerryhouse did a short speech about our involvement in the conference and Wild Thang commented “Wild Thang are proud to sponsor, I am feeling inspired by the speakers, the knowledge being shared at each presentation session & in awe of the amazing work you all do as charities and foundations across the North West and nationally. This year is our 27th year in business and throughout that time we have been focused on building trust and partnerships with all our clients.  We all need to align with businesses and organisations with the same shared values of wanting to make a difference as a company for our team, community and the environment. We donate and have supported many charities and community based projects over many years, we have recently committed to a long term sustainability pledge which includes aiming to be net zero by 2030 and this has also included planting trees for every order to help offset our own carbon footprint,  since March we have planted 30K of trees and last week our major solar installation went live meaning we are putting more green energy into the grid then actually using. The bag we have provided today is made out of recycled materials all of which I think shows we are living by good values and positive ethics throughout our company.

This year's conference focused on four distinct tracks - Personal Development and well-being, Stewardship and Supporting Donors, Strategy and Leadership, and Income Generation and Best Practice. These tracks ensured an enriching experience for professionals across all realms of fundraising.

Overview Of The Conference Room

We have a lot of experience in the third sector with many charities as clients, so it was great to be on a journey of learning at this conference, setting to get a better understanding of the key priorities for this amazing sector. It was also wonderful to share Wild Thang’s own expertise for branded, clothing, merchandise and print, showcasing innovative products and sharing important insights for best practices and marketing trends to get the very best outcomes for any charitable organisation involved in fundraising.

Wild Thang Goodie Bags

The event was fantastic to attend! The Wild Thang team got to meet some amazing people from the Charity sector and discuss what our expertise is in that industry and how we can provide their perfect branding solution.

Lindsay Tilston & Max Newton Host A Talk At The Conferernce

We got to set up our Wild Thang event stand which shined bright amongst the 150 people at the event, it was a pleasure meeting everyone who came over to our stand. Not only did we provide and sponsor this year's goody bag but we also organised a raffle to win a Magnum of Champagne so huge congratulations to Lindsay Jones from Shelter!
