Liverpool Media Academy (LMA) is a private institution specialising in media, music, and performing arts education, with campuses in Liverpool and London. Founded in 2009, LMA has grown to accommodate over 900 students across its campuses. The Liverpool campus is located in the Metquarter, a transformed retail plaza in the city centre, while the London campus is situated at Here East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. LMA offers a range of BA (Hons) degrees, BTEC courses, and Masters programs, all delivered by industry professionals in state-of-the-art facilities.

BRIEF

LMA tasked Wild Thang with creating comprehensive onboarding packs for all incoming students, ensuring they receive them before the start of their new academic year. The brief also included the development of a practical and stylish uniform range that aligns with LMA's creative identity. Additionally, Wild Thang was asked to build an e-commerce store featuring a variety of branded clothing and merchandise, making it accessible for all students to show their pride and connection to LMA both on and off campus. The aim was to enhance the student experience and foster a sense of community from day one.

SOLUTION

Wild Thang focused on fostering a sense of community and personal recognition for each student as they began their journey at LMA, which can be daunting for many. Personalisation was key, with onboarding packs including a personalised named sports bottle, a direct message card, a quality hoodie for campus wear, and a branded lanyard for ID passes, all presented in an LMA-branded box. Wild Thang managed the project end-to-end, handling in-house manufacturing, fulfilment, and data management to match personalised items with shipping labels. This world-class solution sparked excitement on social media and gratitude from new students. Wild Thang also provides annual uniform orders for teachers and manages an e-commerce student shop for branded merchandise.
