Wild Thang had an amazing experience at the BPMA Sustainability Conference 2024, held on the 5th June at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow. In our industry The British Promotional Merchandise Association is playing a pivotal role in guiding and educating to support our sectors journey towards Net Zero and a sustainable future for the world but also our industry as a whole.

It’s very apt that this also happened to be World Environment Day, the conference was an incredibly insightful and inspiring day jam packed with sustainability best practice and important research, it was great hearing from new BPMA CEO Phil Goodman about both his and the BPMA teams vision to support its members and create a more sustainable future.
A Guest Speaker During The Sustainability Conference
Industry experts were both enlightened and motivated by a variety of speakers including James Shorey, Planet Mark talking about latest stats on the world journey to net zero, Elle Chartres, UK Director, Ad Net Zero discussing what the advertising & marketing industry is aiming to achieve to support ad agencies journey towards net zero, great workshops with industry findings to discuss the real challenges, the solutions needed and opportunities that a more sustainable future holds for the companies fully committed. We are proud to be one of the first companies in our industry to sign up to the The BPMA’s Step Forward Pledge which is just another example of how sustainability is a core value at Wild Thang and our commitment was highlighted in supporting this industry conference. We have an ambitious sustainability pledge and we have recently submitted our application for B-Corp certification. This journey reflects our dedication to making a positive impact on the environment and it is truly safe to say we are leading by example in the industry.
BPMA Notepad Handed Out At The Event
Our long-standing partnership with the BPMA has been invaluable. For many years, we have collaborated on various initiatives, have reached the highest standard by becoming a charter member and this conference further strengthens our bond. It was inspiring to see so many members united by a common goal of promoting sustainability in the promotional merchandise industry.

Our Managing Director, Andrew Dwerryhouse, attended the event and commented: “We never stop learning especially when talking about creating a sustainable future, I see it as a critical pathway to support the BPMA and industry as a whole. It was a truly enlightening day and I especially love hearing from the new BPMA CEO Phil Goodman who shared his commitment to support companies across our sector both small and large on their journey toward Net Zero, hopefully my attendance as MD at Wild Thang is yet another clear showcase of our companies values, ethics and commitment to sustainability but also our eagerness to engage with other like-minded industry leaders and peers.
