The annual Bowie Con, held from the 26th to the 28th of July at Liverpool's iconic St Georges Hall which was the perfect backdrop to celebrate one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, bringing together superfans from around the world, transforming Liverpool into a hub of Bowie-inspired culture and creativity.

This global gathering honours David Bowie's immense everlasting influence on music, fashion, and culture. This year's theme, "The Year of the Diamond Dogs" was filled with fan-thrilling events, including talks, meet-and-greets, film screenings, exhibitions and performances. Wild Thang was incredibly proud to be a part of this celebration by providing the official merchandise & branding clothing for the event.

Our team at Wild Thang HQ worked tirelessly to produce an array of amazing merchandise and branded clothing that truly captured the essence of David Bowie. From stylish apparel to unique accessories, each item was designed with care and attention to detail to reflect Bowie's iconic style which showcases our commitment to deliver something that is world class, feedback from the superfans who purchased merchandise has been incredibly positive.

The convention featured an impressive lineup of performers and speakers, including members of Bowie's DAM Trio backing band, George Murray and Carlos Alomar, who shared their personal accounts of working with Bowie during the late 1970s. Additionally, Woody Woodmansey, the last surviving member of the Spiders From Mars returned to Liverpool to meet fans and share his experiences.

The event was attended by our very own Wild Thang MD Andrew Dwerryhouse who was wowed by the incredible performances and stories, among his personal highlights were performances and stories from backing singer Ava Cherry, who was part of Bowie's inner circle during his transition from Diamond Dog to Fame-era and Dana Gillespie, a close friend and collaborator of Bowie since the early 1960s, making it a truly memorable experience.
