THE CLIENT:
BTR are a well-respected premier running race organiser who have 10 different races within their portfolio covering the Liverpool City Region. They are a company embedded in the local running community including the organization of a yearly running awards dinner to highlight peoples achievements and dedication to help the community as a whole.
THE BRIEF:
BTR were looking for an expert merchandise partner that could deliver a world class merchandise solution and create an outstanding range of leisure / technical wear of retail quality along with a range of accessories. The merchandise would be retailed at the time of the event direct to marathon participants and public through a pop up trailer shop and also be made available through an online shop so people could order at their leisure both Pre and Post event. Report full audited accounts for all sales.
THE RESULTS:
Wild Thang were successful in becoming the official merchandise provider. Working in partnership with BTR, Wild Thang developed a range of branded leisure and technical clothing and merchandise accessories that really did create the right tone for the event with the creative design and presentation being at the heart of the solution to produce products of a high retail quality. Once approved we sampled the products getting approval before going into full manufacture and so the race organizer could promote the availability. We designed and setup a fully functioning popup shop trailer fully branded helping with brand continuity with functioning epos system with merchandise displayed in a professional retail way and staffed with experienced merchandise vendors who are trained to have that friendly, yet professional and efficient approach to the customers requirement reflecting BTR’s own brand in a positive way. We created a bespoke online merchandise store that fitted with the events imagery. Wild Thang designed, developed and manufactured the finisher t-shirts that were given to every marathon race participant.
